Anurag Verma's Review On Banaras Hindu University - [BHU], Varanasi | collegedunia.com

I am Anurag Verma and here is my review on Banaras Hindu University.

Remarks :

There was an entrance exam for this university named as BHU UET which consists of 150 questions and 450 marks. The question paper was divided into three sections named Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each question was of 3 marks and one mark was deducted for a wrong answer.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose chemistry honors because I have an interest in learning chemistry and it excites me very much. The faculty:student ratio is approximately 20:1. The professors here are highly qualified and all of them have done their post doctoral degree from foreign countries. The exams are well managed here and results are published on time. If you are an average student then you will not face any difficulty in passing the semesters.

Internships Opportunities :

There is no placement for the undergraduate course but there is some internship opputunity. But I will recommend to learn chemistry and not focus on internship. The student can go for placement after doing masters in chemistry.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course fee is very minimal and designed in such a way that almost every student can afford it. There are several scholarships provided by the university and some job opportunities are also provided by the university.

Campus Life :

The campus life here is very satisfactory. Banaras Hindu University has a lush green campus and a cool environment. The sports facility is available for almost every sport. I personally am a badminton player and I can say that this college has a great sports culture.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like maths and I want to be a professor in mathematics so I choose this course. The faculty of BHU is very good and for 45 students there is a professor. Faculty members are done with Ph.D. in their respective fields and some professors are very good to explain and visualization. Terms exam is held in 4 -5 months and it is difficult to pass because of the hard question paper and strict copy checking.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B. Sc. Math course group contains Math, physics, statistics, computer science, chemistry, Geology, and Geography. This course has a wide range of course materials to get full knowledge about the subject. The faculty-student ratio is 1:40. All teachers are well-qualified researchers and scientists. Their teaching method is very interactive. Exams are conducted at right time. The term exams are not very difficult to pass.

With the end of the final exams, we would be eligible for campus placement. We have no information about which companies are going to visit. I am unaware of the percentage of students getting placement. I am going to prepare for civil services exams after my graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is too good in my college. Science (bsc for both maths and biology), Bachelor of Commerce (b.comm.), Bachelor of computer science (BCA). I choose bsc math because my 12th is science background and I want to do better in this field. The qualifications system is very good for science faculty. Professors and teachers are to support in every field. We have a yearly exam and according to our preparation exam is going well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course as I want a career in pure sciences and further want to do research in respective fields. There are approximately 7 students under 1 faculty. Faculties are well qualified and knowledgable and masters of their fields. Term exams are good and up to the mark and are moderate to pass with consistent studies.
