Akansha's Review On Jabalpur Engineering College - [JEC], Jabalpur | collegedunia.com

JEC

Remarks :

The admission was based on JEE main scorecard and from MPDTE counseling. Reservation is provided for ST/SC/ OBC candidates as well as different types of schemes are also provided for students' scholarships.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is very good, and the teachers and faculty members are also very helpful though there is a shortage of permanent faculties. The level of semester exams is also good. And teachers are very attentive toward the students.

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for placements after the 6th semester and the placement procedure is quite difficult. There are fewer companies which visit this college. The placements are good for CSE, IT, and ECE branches.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees of JEC are very low as compared to other government colleges in MP, it is negligible for people from ST/SC categories. For the GEN category, the fee is 24k /year and there are different types of schemes available for every student.

Campus Life :

The social life is good. There is no tech fest but there's a sports fest AAVAHAN which is held every year in April. The library is very good where you can find almost every book related to your course.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel fee is 1800/year which is negligible though there's a mess fee of s 2100 per month for girls' hostels. Girls hostel has rooms for two people and is good . The quality of the meal is very good.

Campus placements are good. Any opportunities are given to the students based on their qualifications. If students are not into placement then their plan is to qualify for GATE. It is a Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering for admission to the masters.
