DIVYANSHU SINGH's Review On Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University Of Science And Technology - [DCRUST], Sonepat | collegedunia.com

DCRUST

Remarks :

I took admitted to Deenbandhu Chottu Ram University of Science and Technology. I enrolled in the B.Tech course in Chemical Engineering. The university is the state government. Its application form is available on hstes org. in.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Because I'm interested in chemical engineering and want to get a job at PSU. The ratio is good. Most faculty are Ph.D. holders and their teaching style is quite good. The term exam was held after 4 .5 months and it was not so difficult to pass if you study 10-15 days before the exam you can easily pass it.

Placement Experience :

From the 7th semester, the students are eligible for campus placements. The major recruiter hair here is TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) who take the students in mass amounts offering the average package between 4 - 5lpa. Not satisfied with the campus placement. There is more focus on the corporate sector and other government jobs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is based on the odd/even semester system. A major part of the money is to be paid in one semester and the rest is to be paid in another semester. The institute also offers scholarships annually to the 10% of students who are top in the semester exams.

Campus Life :

Life at the campus is quite good. The institute has various clubs and societies. LISOC for literature, SKA for dramatics, and RPG(Royal Punjab Group) for dance. The student also gets chances to perform at various IITs and NITs and other Haryana government-based colleges. Our library is also huge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I am very fond of computers and mobile devices since my childhood and want to learn the work behind these smart gadgets. Overall faculty students ratio is good it is approximately 1:40. Most of the teachers are M.tech qualified from prestigious universities like Jamia and Aligarh and some PhD holders as well. As far as teaching is concerned, the overall methodology is good and don't expect some game changing scenarios. Most of the time, term exams happen in timely manner. Due to covid there was some sort of irregularities but now it is all good right now. Passing exams is not that much challenging if you have basic understanding of concepts and ability to apply them. Most of questions comes from previous year papers.

Placement Experience:

I think students from 7 semesters have become for campus placements. Many companies visited last year. The highest package is about 200000. The main focus of that companies is that one should have the knowledge. Of designing and lab knowledge the percentage was not a main concern for them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Electronics and communications engineering has wide scope in today's scenario thus I chose this course. The University has well-qualified faculty with vast experience. The teaching methods are orthodox, yeah but the teaching is understandable. There are two sessional exams before the final end-semester exams.
