Mudit Choudhary's Review On The LNM Institute Of Information Technology - [LNMIIT], Jaipur | collegedunia.com

Why you should join LNMIIT?

Remarks :

The only criterion for admission is your percentile in JEE Mains examination. The eligibility criteria keep on getting higher. In 2020, the last person to get admission to LNMIIT had a percentile slightly over 94%. The following year it was 95% something. Also, the fees keep increasing every year by 10%. Currently, the students in the first year who have taken admission will be paying around 24 lakhs for their complete B. Tech. including hostel fees, whereas, students of my batch would have to pay around 17.6 Laksh (including hostel fees, but 3 semesters were online, thanks to COVID so the fees came down to around 14 lakhs). The application form is released sometime in May and the fee is 5000/- for that form.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course (Communication and Computer Engineering) mainly because I could later switch to both ECE and CSE fields however this was my second preference during admission. Every course has 2 faculty members. 1st half is taught by one and the rest by another. Although all the faculty members are highly qualified, you might find it difficult to understand the course by some of them. Every course has 2 major exams, Mid Term examination and End Term examination, both preceded by a quiz on the topics covered in that course. The quizzes in the subject make it easier to pass.

Internships Opportunities :

Roles offered are mostly stipend based and the companies conduct online tests based on Data Structures and Algorithms. You have to clear that test post which, you will sit in some interview rounds. Companies like BNY Mellon, Deloitte, Amazon, etc have offered internships with stipends of 75k, 30k, and 60k respectively.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for campus placements after the 6th semester and around 93% of students get placed. Among the many companies, Samsung, BNY Mellon, Amazon, Deloitte, Make My Trip, Oyo, and many others gave the top offers in the past. I myself am planning to sit in the placements from this June.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are hiked every year by 10% but there are schemes for EWS students. Scholarships are there if the SGPA (GPA for a semester) is over 9.25. 30,000 for 9.25 to 9.5 40,000 for 9.51 to 9.75 50,000 for 9.76 and above There are opportunities for being a Teacher's Assistant and all and they all have a stipend too.

Campus Life :

Vivacity is the annual fest of the college and it's conducted at the end of January. This year, we had Amit Trivedi perform in Vivacity. It's the largest fest in all of Asia. Plinth is the annual tech fest and it takes place in January. Mohammad Irfan performed this year. It is the second-largest tech fest in Rajasthan. All the course-related books and journals will be available in the library. Every lecture hall has a projector and speakers. All of them are properly air-conditioned. All sorts of sports are played on campus except swimming, gymnastics and fencing. All of them have their own respective clubs. Annual sports fest also takes place in January in the name of Desportivo. Almost everything has its own club. All the clubs are completely run by students and are college funded.
