Siddharth Nirankari's Review On Chandigarh University - [CU], Chandigarh | collegedunia.com

The life at Chandigarh University described in one the most accurate and easy to understand method.

Remarks :

The eligibility for this particular course was 50% in 10+2 grade and for being able to get the scholarship the candidates have to give an entrance exam which is cucet, the registrations of which can be done from the official portal of the university. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate and the mode of the exam is online. Students have to then maintain a CGPA of min. 7.5 to maintain the scholarship availed.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The reason for choosing this particular course was my personal interest in chemical industry operations and their scope of it. The student-to-teacher ratio is about 40:1 and most of the faculty have completed the PhD while few of them are undergoing it. The teaching method of the teachers sometimes becomes challenging for everybody to interpret and understand.

Placement Experience :

You become eligible from 3rd year to be able to apply for campus placements. 900+ companies came for the placement drive the last time and more than 9500 students got placed highest package being 1.17 Cr and 54.75lpa international and Domestic respectively. I plan to have experience in a job while I simultaneously want to work on my business

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The base fee of this course is 60000 per semester and most students easily avail of a scholarship of 9000, the facility of educational loan is also available from the fees portal on cuims.in-app and there is no particular internship opportunity from the college while there are plenty of companies that provide placement and internship

Campus Life :

The annual fest in Chandigarh University is known as CU fest which is a three-day event having multiple stages each having a different cultural event followed by celebrity nights and there are several tech fests, business fests, Management fests etc. Every Academic block has its own library while there is one Central Library and almost all the necessary books are available out there. For sports, there is a separate sports complex comprising all the sports grounds and facilities. Classrooms have Smart Boards and Whiteboards both with charging ports also there. There is a Department of Student welfare that manages all the societies present in the college and there are hundreds of clubs that work in a specific field of expertise and organise events on a regular basis

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are decent with all the necessary facilities required for a student i.e bed, charging port, table, balcony, almirah, coolers, and AC vents. The menu comprises decent Indian food with consideration of daily nutrition requirements. Hostel students can register from the official website for college fees which can be paid there and also in the account section.

Placement Experience:

CCET has an excellent track record when it comes to placement. The college has a dedicated placement cell that works tirelessly to secure job opportunities for students. Many leading companies across various sectors visit the campus for recruitment, and students have been placed in well-known companies with lucrative packages. In case campus placements are not offered, the college provides ample opportunities for students to enhance their employability through internships and skills development programs.

Placement Experience:

7th-semester students start having their tests and interviews for placements. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Apple, arcesium, JP Morgan, Airbus, Uber, Flipkart, etc. visit the campus. The highest package this time was 86 lakhs CTC to six students and the average package is 14 lakhs. Mainly they offer coding and finance-related profiles. More or less everyone who sits in the placements gets placed, the percentage is above 90. I also want to get a good placement in an MNC.

Placement Experience:

Placements depend on the reputation and performance of the university, the quality of education and training provided, and the demand for the particular field of study. If a college does not offer campus placements, students can still explore various job opportunities through job portals, job fairs, or by contacting companies directly. They can also opt for higher studies or entrepreneurship. Eligibility: Generally, students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th or 6th semester onwards, depending on the university's policies. The companies that visit a college depend on the reputation and performance of the college and the demand for the particular field of study. Some of the top companies that visit colleges for placements include Google, Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, etc. The number of offers made by these companies varies from college to college. The highest and average packages offered to students during campus placements varies based on performance.

Yes, it's pretty good. I am mentioning a few companies which came for the 2022 batch listed below: DE SHAW GOOGLE INDIA MICROSOFT DELOITTE AMAZON FLIPKART but it all depends on your effort because studies are not so up to date and attendance criteria (75%).so you have to be pro in coding if u want to be in these top-notch tier companies.

Students are eligible from the 6th semester. More than 700 companies visit for placement. Cisco, Google, TCS, Wipro, Servicenow, Mykaarma, Amazon, and many more companies. Each company provides different types of offers. Offers start from 3.5 lakhs to 60 lakhs. It depends on the student's skill and knowledge which offer they take. Companies come for Software development, networking, front-end development, and so on. The highest package of last year is rs 63 lakh and the average placement is of 5 lakhs. More than 90 percent of students get placed. My plan after getting a degree are to get placed in a reputed company with the best package.
