Remarks :
Admission is through JEE Advanced which is conducted once a year usually in May. The admission process is very smooth through the JOSAA portal however eligibility is governed through JEE Advanced Performance. Reservation seats are available with special seats for female students.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because of my dream to study at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and the increasing market for technical textiles in India. Faculty to student ratio varies from year to year. Initially, one faculty teaches 300 students however as semesters progress it happens so that the faculty is teaching around 30 students at once.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are available during 3rd year. Internships are also provided on campus. One compulsory internship has to be done by the student during the degree. The internship process is very smooth if applied through campus authorities.
Placement Experience :
Placement is good with some students even securing 4 crore packages. The average package is around 15-18 LPA. Placements are well catered to and proper training is given to students. No student goes back home without being offered a package.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is well-balanced and transparent. There are numerous scholarships for students seeking financial aid during their studies. Campus jobs are not available for BTech students however fees are charged according to family income so not much aid is required.
Campus Life :
Life is good. IITD is known for its fests -Rendevous, Tryst, BECON, etc. There are numerous clubs in IIT to showcase and pursue your talent. Classrooms are high-tech with projectors, smart boards, AC, and comfortable seats.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel Facility depends on the hostel that is allocated. The hostel is allocated by the system however students can get it changed after the first year. Some hostels are well mainte like Jwalamukhi, Nilgiris, and Kumaon hostels and many lack proper maintenance and sanitization.
