Dheeraj Kakade's Review On Vishwakarma Institute Of Technology, Pune | collegedunia.com

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology - Nice and bad things

Remarks :

The admission to college is mainly on the basis of two entrance exams 1.MHTCET 2.JEE The mhtcet score is more preferred than the jee score for this college. The eligibility was same as any other engineering college like entrance exam marks and 12th STD maths. The application form can be found on the mhtcet website. One has to apply for cet and if the cutoff is cleared by the student (which changes every year) He or she can apply to the college through counseling done by the cet cell itself. You can avail cast reservations.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course is btech computer science. I always had a thing for computers and so I chose this field. The first year is common for all branches and all the branch students are mixed and alloted classes till the second sem. In the third sem, the classes are alloted according to batches but still, the course syllabus is the same for the third sem too. My college has a great staff, and highly trained and educated professionals who help us through this journey and guide us for our project. Vit Pune is an autonomous college that is it governs itself it has the whole autonomy over when and how to take exams, here most of the marks are given to projects, assignments, and attendance, and the theory portion is given very less weightage so passing the exam is not at all difficult.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Currently, a general category student has to full fees of 192045 rs . The college does give some scholarship benefits. Campus jobs are the best things about vit pune. The assure u a good job by training you in the industry ready way.

Campus Life :

The college life isn't as much as fancy as the others. The infrastructure isn't that great it's an old building. There's no proper ground to play. There's an annual fest called vishwakarandak that's nice. The library is awesome it has every needed book so it's a positive point. There are plenty of clubs one can join, some are internationally recognized.

I choose this course because I was interested in the same. The teaching method was good for some subjects while it was average for the other subjects. Term exams were conducted very frequently with a unit test every month followed by the final semester examination.

After the 6th-semester third-year students are eligible to take placement through campus. Various companies like TCS, TATA Power, TATA Motors, Calderys, Wipro, Atlas Copco, Nvidia, Siemens, Adani Power, Larsen and Toubro, Endress Hauser, Dassault Systemes, Varroc, etc are the major recruiters. Nearly 5 LPA is an average package for any branch in this college. The highest package is nearly 16 LPA for EnTC, CS and IT branches by NVIDIA, Lowest package is Rs. 19,000 per month by TATA Motors.
