Explore with me, India's Rank 1 college

SC
5.7 /10

Remarks :

I got admission based on my merit of class 12th, in which I was supposed to match the cut-off percentage of the selected course I applied for. I also got the reservation of the OBC non-cream layer category with my percentage being 95.6. The process of admission to this university has now been changed and now there is an entrance exam for each course.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I opted for this course because it offers two disciplines to study together. Also, it is very helpful if one is preparing for competitive exams like UPSC and so on. Being the first rank college in India and faculty members of the college are just amazing and are masters in their field. The eighth semester has an internal assessment followed by a semester examination which is not very easy, unlike other colleges for BA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Being a central government institution, the face of college is already very less and it's just 14000 per annum. Murugar there are scholarships and financial assistance for certain sections. Also, the college offers placement opportunities for the students and also helps them to apply for master's degrees in the same University.

Campus Life :

The college is very famous for its cultural society and clubs there are any number of society for every curricular activity which offer a great platform if one wants to reach the next level in a specific talent. There are fests for each department of the college as well as the annual fest which is called Tempest. The infrastructure of the college is just very aesthetic. Classrooms are also pretty much comfortable. For sports, they are Grounds and amenities for all sportspersons as well as a gym. In the social life is great people are friendly teachers are also very friendly and helpful and the college provides a great atmosphere to enhance your personality. One very important thing is the library of the college which is as enriching as possible.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Philosophy as a discipline offers a unique way to enhance your understanding and outlook towards the world. It opens up our minds and transforms us into thinking being. Thus, I opted for the course. The faculty is quite experienced and very humble. The ratio of faculty to students is optimum as Philosophy Honours is a relatively newer course at Hansraj College. The curriculum too is well designed, though some absurdities do exist. Examinations do not have a very heavy bearing as the number of papers is at a maximum of 5, thus giving ample time throughout the semester to prepare and develop a good understanding of the subject

For placement, my college is not good. also, it varies according to the course and academic background of the student. placement for BA is not so good here. I would pursue a master's after getting this degree and will apply for teaching jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I wanted to prepare for UPSC and By opting BA Programme in History & Political Science it helped me a lot in clearing all the basic knowledge of the subjects. The faculty Student ratio was 100:1 or 60:1 sometimes because of the extra strength of students. All the faculty members are well-qualified Ph.D. scholars. But their teaching methods are not as per the expectations of the Delhi University north campus faculty. Because of the covid era, we gave open book examinations in our 1st and 3rd semesters which was more than easy.

The placement cell of our college provided internship opportunities throughout the year and its easily manageable to work while studying. The placements are mostly wfh and the avg salary is 15-30k a month (for internships) . I'm not really aware of the job placements because I'm in the first semester but it's constantly improving and we're looking forward to great companies accompanying us

Placement Experience:

Collage has its placement cell which is known as the TRAINING AND PLACEMENT CELL, and it provides Placements from the 3rd year. It also provides an internship every month. In the last 3 years, I think the college got around 10 to 12 lac per annum as the highest package. A good amount of percentage of students gets Placement from college. I will go for my higher studies.

From 3rd year to 6th semester, a student generally becomes eligible for placement. Companies like Nestle and Wipro have visited our college for placement. I am not quite aware of the accurate package. But yeah you got a very decent package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam time was good plus nervous for the freshers. But once you get the idea you know how to deal with it. The faculty was accommodating according to the student ratio. Our English faculty was a family to us. The lectures were awesome and we got leaders in terms of our professors. The teaching methodology is everyone's own. The professors were quite supportive and helpful. Semester-based exams were conducted.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of CVS is really very active in order to provide the best company's JD to students for internships and jobs. I am in a college Internship group and a daily minimum of 2-3 Internship opportunities we get in the group for different departments like business development intern, HR, etc. Final-year students can seat in placements. On average package goes up to 6-7 lakh. The highest package was 10,00,000 which one student got from our college. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, etc. come to college for placements. 70-75% of students got placed in the college itself. If I talk about my plans then I will pursue M.A. (Hons.) Economics, after my under graduation, and side by side I will prepare for Indian Economics service too.

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite good at the minimum LPA that goes is 6LPA and the maximum so far has been 23 LPA. All reputed companies come to Miranda to recruit kids and are always satisfied with it. I plan to go for an MBA degree after my undergrad even though I have been placed.
