Abhinay Bajpai's Review On G L Bajaj Institute Of Technology And Management, Greater Noida | collegedunia.com

Overall Picture of G L Bajaj

Remarks :

I got admitted to G L Bajaj with my Jee Mains Rank and Percentile because when 2021 I was applying there was no AKTU entrance exam and admission was done using Jee Percentile and in 12th I had math in CISCE board with the computer. My jee Percentile was 91.5 and thus I got a fee waiver seat in GL Bajaj in the fourth round of Aktu seat allotment. I had not applied for the first, second and third rounds of counseling. When I applied I projected that I will get a fee waiver seat in JSS COLLEGE Noida, but It was full so I got CSE(AIML) Branch in GL Bajaj. I got a fee waiver seat because I submitted the income certificate of 36000 rupees only during counseling and also my percentile cutoff was good enough.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because it has also Artificial intelligence and machine learning which will be taught in 6th semester to us, unlike traditional CSE branches. In first year of btech faculty is very good and supportive, they are very strict also. They teach you everything and give notes also at the end moment but also make you submit assignments on time . Student to faculty ratio is satisfactory with different facilities for labs and classrooms for even the same subject. Faculty in the first year are qualified and teach you everything A to Z, however, in the third semester you will see that faculty are not teaching properly and little less qualified than first-year one but in the third year your faculties will again be good, and qualified and even less strict. Exams are held timely with two sessional and one pre-University test. Even if you fail in any sessional you have to give retest until you pass. Those who fail are even required to attend extra classes of one hour with respective faculty.

Placement Experience :

Placement of students is good or satisfactory we can say at GL Bajaj( in comparison to other AKTU colleges). You are given separate technical training classes from the second year however real preparation starts from the third year and only then do students become able to be eligible for placement and internship offers. Companies that visit are TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, and sometimes Adobe. A large no of small to medium companies also visit but they hire less no of students also. This year Palo Alto networks visited the campus and made an offer of the highest 58 lakhs. One student got placed and it was on on-campus placement. The average package is around 6-8 lakhs with the median being 10 ( what I have seen from my seniors) The college tries that almost 95% of students should get placed and almost 90% of students get placed. I am also planning to get a placement after my degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees for the first year is rupees 1 Lakh 51 thousand however in the second year it is less and it is 1 Lakh 31 thousand and other than a university fees of 8000 per year for exams of Aktu which you have to pay on University site. I was a fee waiver student with my fees for first year being 42 thousand and for second year being 35 thousand. I got a fee waiver seat using my jee Percentile and income certificate during counseling. You have to apply for a fee waiver seat at the time of counseling.

Campus Life :

GL BAJAJ does not allow any particular cultural activities or any mega annual fest or something cultural like that. It is very strict in such matters and gives very little space for mega social activities. Only big events which the college hosts such as freshers' parties or likes of dandiya night are allowed. The library is well good with books being available, however, the internet is not available and it is open all 365 days. There is very little scope for sports and extracurricular activities and they are very less supported. There are very few clubs with the major ones being Google Developer Students Club, Navrang CLUB, and one or two more only.

A placement year can give students inspiration for final-year projects and dissertations. It can also help develop your soft skills, such as being able to work in a team and the ability to solve complex problems, which are all valuable assets for both your academic and professional career, as Jasmine experienced.

Placement Experience:

The placement at my colleagues is good. We are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. The companies that visited my college are Infosys, HCL, Dot square and many more. I don't have any information about that offers. The highest package of my college is 25 lpa and the average package of my college is 3 lpa. 70-80% of students get the placements. My plan after getting the degree is to start my own startup.

As there are a lot of job opportunities in this branch and course. Faculty are in proportion with that if students. All facilities are Ph.D. Exams are moderated and difficult and in each semester, we have sessional and pre-University.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i had chosen the CSBS course because .it is the new branch added in NIET by the TCS. the syllabus is totally designed by the TCS. There are nearly 100+ faculties and 5000 students including all courses. Most of the faculty are M.tech graduates and the rest are B.tech graduates .periodically after one month sessional exams are conducted and after six months the semesters are conducted. the exams are essays to qualify and the questions in exams come from the syllabus.
