Preetam Das's Review On Netaji Subhas University Of Technology - [NSUT], New Delhi | collegedunia.com

My college

Remarks :

NSUT offers 10 specializations under the B.Tech course. To apply, a candidate should have cleared 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Biotechnology with 75% marks or should feature among the top 20 percentile. For selection, the candidate has to take the JEE- Main.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Faculty was having proper knowledge of their fields. Most of the facility was experienced and permanent of around 27-40 years age. Most of them were having post graduation or masters. Daily there were around 5-6 lectures of 1 hour each. They used examples,PPT, practical demonstrations for making the things clear

Internships Opportunities :

The internship process at NSIT begins in the month of august ie from your 5th semester. Generally the first company that comes for internship is Microsoft. After that you have some companies coming at an interval of 1 month for internship. All of them are generally for COE/IT people. I don't think there is any company that comes for MPAE/BT. Some electronics companies come (like Qualcomm, TI) and then people from ECE and ICE have a chance to get a college internship

Placement Experience :

Mostly all the top companies including technical and non-technical companies visit every year for placement process. Placement process is very crystal clear. Students with more than 65% aggregate can sit in almost all relevant companies. Recruitment process includes percentage shortlisting, followed by written test, followed by group discussions and final interviews.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee Structure is very transparent. Whole fee structure is available on college's website. No there is no hidden way to secure the addmission, it is totally dependent on your rank of IIT jee mains now. Mode of payment is through cash, Demand draft, cheque, etc.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio was good about 60:40 based on ranking of students. There is no criteria of admission based on gender. There were various cultural and technical societies like dance, drama, singing, etc. Societies. Everyone is free to be a part of the societies. There is no discrimination based on caste, religion or economic conditions of a student.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible by the end of the third year. Students have been placed in companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Myntra, and Hotstar but the number is less. On the other hand companies like Josh(10 LPA), Hashdien(8 LPA), and ZS associates(7.93 LPA) regularly visit the college. Almost 90-95 percent of students get placed for sure. Some opt for higher studies and other plans. Highest Package: Microsoft (41.86 LPA). Average Package: 7 LPA. My plan is to pursue a software development job after my degree in an MNC.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the computer science branch as it is the most demanding branch in recent as well as for the future. There are 66 students in total in the class. Classes are divided into two batches for the lab. All the faculties are well qualified and most of them are Ph.D. holders or pursuing Ph.D. Well-supportive teachers can even ask your doubt personally when they are free. Exams are on time as it is followed by the notice from the university and you can pass the exam if you are a little attentive in class Or if you studied the important topics provided by the teachers.
