Student's Review On Bharati Vidyapeeth University College Of Engineering - [BVUCOE], Pune | collegedunia.com

Comprehensive review of Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering Pune

Remarks :

Eligibility of the Course: the eligibility for the course was clearly stated. The requirement of passing 12th grade with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) was specific and straightforward. Applications form: The college's official website had all the necessary information for the admission process, including the application form, application fees, and application dates. The website was well-organized and I was able to find the information I needed without much trouble. Improvements needed: The admission process was completed way before other colleges, which meant that we had to make our choices without knowing the outcome of other applications. This was limiting because students were unable to explore other options that might be more suitable for them. I would suggest that the college should align its admission process with that of other colleges to provide students with more flexibility and options. Overall, the admission process at the college was streamlined and efficient.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I decided to enroll in B.Tech IT because I have a keen interest in software engineering and aspire to work in a familiar field in the future. The course syllabus covers a range of topics that were relevant to my interests, including programming languages, algorithms, and data structures. The faculty: student ratio in our branch is around 1:20, which is quite good. The class strength is 60 and is divided into three batches. This ratio ensures that each student receives adequate attention from the faculty. All 13 faculty members in the IT branch of our college are highly qualified, with a Mtech or ME degree. Half of them are also pursuing a Ph.D. degree. The faculty members are very knowledgeable and skilled in their respective fields. They are also very approachable and friendly, which makes it easy for students to ask questions and clarify doubts. Two mid-sem and an end-sem exam are conducted in one semester in a span of six months. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate.

Internships Opportunities :

The college has tie-ups with many reputed companies, which offer internships to students. Some of the prominent companies include TCS, Accenture, HCL, and Wipro. These companies offer internships to students from various streams such as engineering, management, and computer science. The roles offered during these internships vary based on the stream of study. For example, companies like TCS and Infosys offer roles in software development, data analytics, and quality assurance whereas companies like Wipro and HCL offer roles in hardware design and testing for engineering students. Many of these internships also come with a stipend. The projects that are part of these internships are designed to provide students with real-world experience in the industry. For example, during an internship at TCS, a student might work on a project related to software development, they might be asked to develop/design a small software application for a client, working in a team with other interns.

Placement Experience :

At my college, students become eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester of their undergraduate program. Several reputable companies visit our campus every year to recruit students. Some of the well-known companies that visited our campus this year include Amazon, TCS, Jio, PhonePE, and Wipro. The highest package offered was around 26 LPA. The average package offered was around 7.5 LPA, and the profiles offered included software developer, data analyst, and business analyst, etc. Almost 80% of students of the batch got placed in various companies. After completing my degree, I plan to gain some work experience and then pursue higher studies in my field of interest.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our university has a fee hike policy, which means that the fees can increase year-on-year, it is important to acknowledge that the fees of our branch are quite high. For the 2021-2025 batch of IT students, the fee structure is as follows: 1,75,000 for the first year, 1,83,750 for the second year, 1,92,940 for the third year, and 2,02,590 for the fourth year.

Campus Life :

Firstly, the library at our college is one of the best resources for students. It is well-maintained and has a wide range of books for every branch of study. The library also has a large reading area where students can sit and study comfortably. The amenities in classrooms are also noteworthy. The classrooms are spacious and well-equipped with projectors. Moreover, every branch has one classroom that is equipped with a digital interactive board. Our college has an extensive range of sports and extra-curricular activities, the college has a large play area which is equipped for football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, and other sports. these facilities are well-maintained and are available to students throughout the year. Furthermore, the college organizes many sports events throughout the year. Additionally, the college has a vibrant student community with several social groups and clubs that are run by students themselves. For example the Rotaract club, cliczy club for photography, etc.
