DBIT Review summary

Remarks :

I got into this college with the help of KCET which is a test conducted after PU. The KCET provides the students with admission order and the college after the option entry and seats are allotted to the students who write KCET. And after we opt for the college, we get an admission order from KCET and we are supposed to take that and visit the college to complete the admission process. The admission process is simple, they ask for general documents like an Aadhar card and previous marks card. And the fee details are provided and payment can be done through UPI or can be paid through challan as well. After completion of the payment, they provide with documents including a calendar of events and dates of commencement of the classes.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The computer science branch is a good branch and the faculties are helpful in nature and they are available to guide us anytime we want. The faculty are friendly and teach well. They also provide extra importance to slow learners and help them understand the concepts. There are 60 students in a class and one teacher for each class. Almost all teachers have a good amount of teaching experience. The internals is conducted as per the calendar and they are not that tough to score well. They are easy and can be managed with little practice.

Internships Opportunities :

The college provides a lot of internship opportunities from the placement department in the pre-final year. Companies visit the college and provide internships and most of them are paid internships. The students get certification from top universities and colleges upon completion of the internship. The students will get hands-on experience with these internships. They provide internships with Java and Python languages and these skills help the students to become ready for hiring.

Placement Experience :

Students get a good amount of opportunities in this college from the placement department. The students who are in the pre-final year will start getting a notification from the placement department about the list of opportunities and the students can start their preparation. There are 100+ companies visiting the college for recruitment and a large number of offers with different roles are provided for the students. Last year one of the students got a package of 27lpa at Juspay. And most of the students get places in the college and need not worry about off-campus placement opportunities. In the CS field, the opportunities are more.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees are decided by KCET for the students who get admitted through KCET. Other admissions are done through COMED K and even management quota is available. They provide financial assistance like a reduction in fees if parents negotiate. And the students can avail of scholarships from NSP, SSP and other types of scholarships for them. The college provides a lot of opportunities for students who want to get jobs and placements. The Training and placement department gives opportunities even for Internships.

Campus Life :

Campus Life is good in this college. We have an annual fest every year called Vismay. And it's a cultural event followed by DJ night. About Vismay, it's a fest where students enjoy their fest and have fun and participate in events like singing, dancing, etc. There are celebs who are invited to the fest to make it memorable. And through the year there are different events happening in college like department fests, freshers' day, and each branch would conduct events to make students learn people skills. This college also supports sports and they participate in inter-college competitions with the college team.

Placement Experience:

Placements are very good in our college but if we need placements our cgpa should be more than 7 or else it is difficult to get placement on the campus. If our cgpa is more than 7 we can easily get placed in a campus interview.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took mechanical engineering because I like to study engines cars and machinery. Faculty members of the mechanical engineering block have nice behavior toward students and they are supportive. Internals exams will be once a month and after three internals we have to give externals. As the college is under VTU...It is difficult to pass exams.
