Jagmeet Singh's Review On Fairfield Institute Of Management And Technology - [FIMT], New Delhi | collegedunia.com

Good placement, Good infrastructure and clean campus.

Remarks :

There are two basic eligibility are required to get admission in this course, the first student should pass the 12th class with a minimum of 45% marks and the second must appear in IP University common entrance test. Application forms are available on the college and university websites. Application fees are around 1200 rupees which need to be online. I have not availed of any reservation benefits. The overall admission process is good in college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose to study BCA because computer science is one of my favourite subjects in school. I love to do programming also. The faculty and student ratio is 1:10. Most faculty members are postgraduate and few faculty members are also pursing the P.hd. Faculty members provide us with notes and PPTs for learning. They always explain topics with examples and easy language. Term exams are conducted every 6 months. The semester exam is not difficult to pass.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The cost of study here is quite high compared to a few other colleges. The college has good infrastructure so they charge high fees. I do not know about the fee hike policy because there was no fee hike during my three years of college time. There is no scholarship offered by the college but you can apply for a scholarship offered by the government and college management help student in that process. The college has tied up with a few banks which helps with financial assistance.

Campus Life :

The college offers 9 courses and there are many departments. Apart from the annual fest, there are many activities that keep going on every month where any student can participate. The library is big with an ample amount of books related to our courses. The classroom has a projector and whiteboard for E-Learning. There is limited space for sports in college. There are many social groups in college and these are managed by management and student.

Placement Experience:

I am in 2nd year and some internships are coming by the college but for campus placement, a BCA student is eligible in their last year of college. I have heard that Companies like De Shaw, Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, etc had come to campus but they take only a few students. The highest package as I have heard is about 17.5 lacks and the average package of 6 lakh is there I think. The percentage should be above 75 to sit on campus placement. My plans after my degree are to look for a good job and if not then do my master's.
