Remarks :
You should have completed your 12th class from any recognized board. Appear for JEE Main exam and get a rank good enough to get admission. Using the JEE Main result, participate in the Joint Admission Counseling, Delhi (JAC Delhi) I was able to avail the reservation in the Scheduled Caste (Outside Delhi) quota which allowed me to get admission to NSUT.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose my course which is Bachelor of Technology - Instrumentation and Control Engineering (B.Tech - ICE) because it is a well-established and reputated course of NSUT (which is also a prestigious institute in the country). The course involves the core work around electrical and electronics networks and using necessary instruments to control the behaviour of those networks. The student ratio in my class is around 68 boys and 12 girls which is decent considering the average case in Engineering colleges. The faculty of the college is highly qualified with many of them holding a Ph.D. degree in their respective fields from the best institutes of the country with extensive work in their research fields. They possess great knowledge about the courses they teach and will always resolve your doubts. The teaching method is specific to each teacher but all are equally effective. We have Mid-Semester Exams and End-Semester Exams in a semester and the question paper is of high quality so it's hard.
Internships Opportunities :
Companies like Microsoft and Flipkart visit the campus for opportunities offering students with technical positions and roles like Software intern or technical intern. Even Google comes to the campus for internship offers. Their stipend ranges from 60,000 to 1,00,000 per month.
Placement Experience :
The students become eligible for on-campus internship opportunities from the 5th semester itself where various top companies like Microsoft, Flipkart, Sprinklr, etc. come to the campus and conduct their selection process depending on the skill set of the students. Many students are selected for such opportunities and receive a good amount of stipend as well. Some students are able to get their Pre-Placement Offers (PPO) from here itself as their internship gets upgraded to a full-fledged placement job. For others, many more top companies visit the campus to recruit students from their 4th year for different roles and positions. Overall, the placements at NSUT have been great for students of almost all disciplines.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees structure for my course is as follows: 1st year - ?2,06,000/-, 2nd year - ?2,19,000/-, 3rd year - ?2,29,000/-, 4th year - ?2,40,000/-, The fee amount is expected to get hiked every year. The college does give us the facility to avail of various financial assistance opportunities. For example, students not having the money, to begin with, can avail of the Student Loan process from the college branch of the bank. Also, many scholarships like Merit Cum Means Financial Assistance Scholarship and Post-Matric Scholarship can be benefit from.
Campus Life :
The college and the campus life at NSUT are amazing. Firstly, because of the beautiful, lush green campus that spreads over 145 acres of land. Students can enjoy their time on campus in different spots. NSUT conducts 3 annual fests: Moksha (The cultural fest, also the biggest of them), Innovision (The technical fest, which is organized alongside Moksha), and, Resonance (The winter fest, intra-college cultural fest). The college consists of various societies and clubs ranging from one important topic to another. So, you should be able to find a society that matches your interest. These societies also frequently conduct events in which you can participate. Such events provide you with opportunities to improve your skills and grow as a person.
