Remarks :

I took admission to maitreyi college, and have done my graduated in the discipline of physical science with chemistry. The eligibility criteria for which is PCM in 12th, and the cut-off percentage list released by Delhi University on their official website. First, you have to do registration on the official website of Delhi University and have to fill out the application form. The application forms are released in the month of May. After a month du release cut-off for all the colleges and their respective courses. Through the cut-offs, you can find out if you have made it to your preferred college or not. If you made it to your choice of college, you have to submit the original documents there and submit the fees in the given stipulated time. The administration staff of maitreyi is average.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I personally took admission in this particular course because I was quite good in all three subjects i.e. physics, chemistry and maths. So I decided to do my graduation in physical science with chemistry, where I have to study all these three subjects as my core subjects. The faculty of the chemistry and maths department was very knowledgeable, polite, and helpful. The faculty of the physics department is average. The faculties were very knowledgeable and experienced in all three departments. The teachers were very helpful and dedicated to the students. The examination used to be conducted semester-wise. Exams were conducted once at the end of the semester along with internal tests and assessments in the mid-semester. The exams were not that tough and students can easily get good grades by studying from the textbooks suggested by teachers and with the help of previous year's papers available in the market.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course BSc physical science with chemistry is very affordable as it hardly costs 10k per year. The total fee of the course is 28k. Anyone coming from a middle-class family can easily afford to study this course. Talking about the scholarship and financial assistance, there was no such help provided to the students. There were no placements for this particular course. No job or internship opportunities have been provided to the students. There was not a single company that visited the campus for hiring candidates for this particular course. No one from my batch got placed.

Campus Life :

One special thing about maitreyi is the annual fest, Rhapsody which is a most awaited event of the year for students of Delhi University. It happens once a year in the month of February. Guests like Darshan Rawal, Garry Sandhu, and Parmish Verma has visited the campus as a guest in the annual fests. The library of maitreyi is well-designed and filled with a good number of books. Students can easily access those books with the help of a library card. The classrooms of maitreyi were also good though they are not with air conditioners or other amenities. But the classrooms were very spacious and well maintained. There are many societies for students, which include dance, singing, fashion, and sports society. There's an NCC society as well. The Instagram handle of the annual fest named rhapsody is run by the Maitreya students and There's the official page of maitreyi college with insta handle du maitreyi.
