NTC Review from the eyes of a CSE Sophomore

Remarks :

The overall admission process was smooth. Even when I came to college to confirm my admission, the advisors and faculties of the college assisted me in making my admission process a nice experience. I availed the admission through my Joint Entrance Examination score and the seat was secured through the UPCET (now UPTAC) counseling. Application form for availing the counseling is available on the following website: uptick. admissions. nic. in & the application starts after the JEE results are announced.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is well-structured and well-defined. I choose computer science and engineering as my preferred course to be pursued as I wanted to make my career in the same field. The faculties are well worst and learned and there is always a source of constant support from them that enables us to take further steps in performing better in our studies. The faculty-student ratio is 1:12 and the term exams are held at regular intervals, generally in every month. Regular class tests are done to ensure the practice of students. Most of the professors are Ph.D. scholars and every faculty member has a decent industry experience.

Internships Opportunities :

I am a CSE sophomore yet so there are not many internship opportunities available for me but yes, the college has provided me with a lot of resources and hardware support to build mini projects. Some of our seniors got internship opportunities and got PPO in the third year of their study itself.

Placement Experience :

The placements in our college are decent and during the last placement drive, there were multiple PPOs offered to various deserving students. The average package of the college revolves around 6 to 10 LPA. A lot of big-tech giants like TCS, HCL, NTT, and Infosys come and offer placement opportunities. Active recruiters like Innobit Systems LLC, ANR Softwares Pvt. Ltd., and others regularly provide internship and full-time job offers to final-year students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college consistently supports students to get the scholarship every year and the administration ensures that the process remains hassle-free. The cost to study is at par with the facilities and amenities provided by the college. Pre-placement offers start to come from 3rd year itself and there regular job distances through the training and placement cell. The internship activity coordinator makes sure that every student gets equal industrial opportunities.

Campus Life :

The campus life is pretty vivid and lively. There are a lot of cultural, technical, sports, and annual fests that go around all year inside the college campus. Parichay, one of the events, is held every year for welcoming the freshers. Moreover, regarding the clubs, there is an active coding club in our college where regular hackathons, coding competitions, and workshops are done. There is also an Institute Innovation council established in our college that assists every young entrepreneur and startup idea to flourish. The library is decent and contains plenty of books, journals, and research papers. Specialized computer labs have been designed in such a way as to provide high-tech support to the students.

Hostel Facilities :

There are separate boys and girls' hostels allotted for the candidates interested in availing of the hostel services. Every hostel contains one common hall for gatherings, discussions, and communal meetings. Indoor games like Table Tennis, Carrom and much more are available in the hostel. Also, there are gardens, big green-lush lawns, and several playgrounds for keeping the hostellers entertained and energetic in their leisure time. The rates for the hostel are affordable and you can get accommodation on a first come, first serve basis since the rooms are filled as soon as the students confirm their admissions. Medical amenities are also provided. There is one common cafeteria/mess & the meals are provided by the menu which is approved by the students' discretion and members of the mess committee.

Course Curriculum Overview:

All courses are good in the B-TECH curriculum and faculty members are also good enough. And faculty to student ratio is:- 1:30 that's good enough. All teaching staff completed PhD degrees. It's easy to pass an exam by doing hard work.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements from the sixth semester itself. Companies start visiting the college in the mid of the sixth semester. If you are from a computer background then be assured of 100% placement. Other courses available are MBA, BCA MTECH integrated etc. Mostly every student gets placed to maintain the reputation of the college. It has an average package of 500000 per year. After getting the degree I'll be working in the software field

Placement Experience:

The placement at my colleagues is good. We are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. The companies that visited my college are Infosys, HCL, Dot square and many more. I don't have any information about that offers. The highest package of my college is 25 lpa and the average package of my college is 3 lpa. 70-80% of students get the placements. My plan after getting the degree is to start my own startup.
