Course Curriculum Overview :

In my view, the Institute of Management Studies BHU is an excellent Management school for freshers. As a fresher, I find it is the best management institute to start my career. It Provides MBA at a very minimal fee structure. Institute has a good environment for studies and highly experienced teaching faculty. Institute also offers Students internship and on-campus placement opportunities with an average package of around 9-10 lakhs. Course Curriculum is okay not much good but it is improving. Here students get quality education in a very good environment with the best teachers. Institute has an excellent student-to-faculty ratio of 6:1 with highly qualified, supportive, and experienced faculty members With an average experience of full-time faculty being more than 20 years they all are Ph.D. and more than that. Institute strictly follows the academic calendar to conduct term exams and other activities on time. My First semester exams were in December It was not much difficult for me to pass it

Internships Opportunities :

Internship Opportunities are not much good in our college. Some Companies offered good internship opportunities like RBI, ICICI Bank, SBI Mutual Fund, Union Bank Of India, IDBI capital, Bajaj Capital, Outlook, CLSA, etc. with an average stipend of Rs 15k to 20k.

Placement Experience :

Placements are also quite good in our college. From the third semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Institute offers students great Placement opportunities with an average package of around 9-10 lakh. During 2020-2022 batch placements, A total of 169 students were placed out of 174 participating students with the Highest package offered at INR 18 LPA and an average package offered at INR 9.7 LPA. As per the latest placements of batch 2022-2023, a final year MBA student bagged an annual package of INR 35 LPA by the company named fast retailing Co. Ltd. Uniqlo, the leading retail group of japan. The top companies that visited our college for placements include- Infosys, IBM, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, DHL, Yes Bank, IDBI Bank, Genpact, etc., and profiles offered like- Consultant, Assistant Manager, Analyst, Business Development Manager, Relationship Manager, Management Trainee, etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Total fees are around Rs 1 Lakh for the entire course which is to be paid in cash or by using a Credit/Debit card transfer at the Fee Counter with Rs 7500/- p.a. (approx) for the hostel Fees excluding mess. The total cost to complete the entire course is approx Rs 2.5 lakh. Institute also has the facility of the U.P. Scholarship Scheme which is provided by the UP government to the Students of Uttar Pradesh.

Campus Life :

Talk about the campus, Institute of Management Studies BHU is the part of huge Campus of Banaras Hindu University. It is a simple, beautiful, green, and peaceful campus. It has a clean, Fresh, and Green Environment with all amenities like Wifi, Library with a large no. of. books and journals, Seminar Hall, Computer Lab, Smart Classes, an affordable hostel named (Management Hostel) and GYM in the hostel etc. Institute also has the Atal Incubation centre under the aegis of NITI Aayog to promote Innovation and Entrepreneurship. As the institute is part of BHU, students can also access free Wifi, Free health Services, a big central & Cyber library of BHU, a Swimming Pool, a Central Gym, etc. Many annual fests are conducted at the Institute like- Institute Day in December, Unnayan (Cultural Fest) in February, Ransangraam(Management Fest) in February, Annual Sports fest, and many other events with the help of Student running Clubs like- Visvires, Kalpavriksha, Ecell, Sports club, and Sewarth Club.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel Facility is overall good. Institute has its own hostel named Management Hostel. The hostel has the facilities like- Purified water, free Wifi, a Gym, Common Hall for Indoor Games, Washing Machine, Geyser, Mess facility with healthy and hygienic food. Hostel rooms are twin-sharing. Its are also good with facilities in a room like Two Beds, Almirah and table chairs. I am the hosteller. The hostel was allotted to me at the time of counseling on the basis of merit. The hostel has the capacity to accommodate approx. 120 Students Including the Junior& Senior batches.

Interview Experience :

At my time due to Covid, there was no GD round only Personal Interviews conducted online mode. The question asked me about my profile, basic questions like (about myself, Why MBA, Hobbies, strengths and weaknesses, Family, etc), questions related to my graduation course, the surrounding environment and current issues, and what my point of views related to any current issues, etc. Admission to MBA and MBA IB Programs are made on the basis of CAT Score followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates are shortlisted for the GD/PI Process on the basis of CAT Score and then Final Selection is made on the basis of the Combined merit of CAT Score(50%), Academics(20%), and GD/PI(30%). I had prepared for the above-mentioned all rounds through online mode with the help of Youtube and other platforms.

There's 100% placement this season but it's not mandatory that every student will get placed. You need to work hard for getting placed but you get all the help from the institute for your successful placement.
