Student's Review On Nitte Meenakshi Institute Of Technology - [NMIT], Bangalore | collegedunia.com

One of the top colleges in banglore

Remarks :

The government of Karnataka conducts the Common Entrance Test (CET) in which 45% seats of the total intake is filled. 30% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through the COMED-K test, which is also conducted by Karnataka Govt. 25% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through the management quota. AICTE has approved 15% extra seats for foreign nationals/PIO/NRI/students whose parents work in Gulf countries over and above the sanctioned intake

Course Curriculum Overview :

We have our curriculum and they adjust time table according to holidays and college working days coming to faculty we have the most experienced faculty and we have the best academics and faculty. It has a good academic record. It comes under one of the top private institutions in India. It has a good placement record. The faculty here is also very knowledgeable and experienced. They know how to deal with students.

Internships Opportunities :

Many companies offer internships. For example, Adobe provided an internship with 1 lakh per month for a student from the 7th semester. And many companies offer internships and one must opt for them because there is a chance of getting a pre-placement offer

Placement Experience :

Students from the 6th semester become eligible for campus placements. Companies that visit are Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Accenture, Infosys, phone pay, and many more. The highest package is 40 lakhs per album offered by Adobe and the average package is around 6 lakhs. 80 percent of students get placed every year and I'm also looking for a good placement in a tech company.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I have chosen Electronics and Communications course which is a BE course. The faculty-student ratio is quite good compared to other colleges. It is around 1:6. And all the faculty members are holding double degrees teaching is also quite decent but can be improved. Exams are held every month and it is easy to clear them because you have been taught everything you need for the exam.

Campus Life :

Our annual fest is Anadyanta. It is one of the huge fests in South India. Superstars like Neha Kakkar, Upendra, etc have arrived at the fest. It is conducted every year with huge arrangements. The library is also vast and you get every book that you need. Classrooms are spacious and can easily accommodate 80 students. NMIT college is also known for sports. You get great support from the college in sports. You can check Instagram pages run by NMIT. Hostel

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are provided with a table, cupboard, and bed. It is two sharing for freshers and from the second it is three sharing. The meal is quite good and very hygienic. But after 3 months you get bored with hostel meals and start eating out. Hostel fees are affordable at 1.5 lakhs per year including mess

Course Curriculum Overview:

As this course has not much different from computer science and engineering and it has additional courses for design. The faculty is well-educated and most of the professors are with PhD degrees. The exams are conducted every week and the difficulty level is moderate

Placement Experience:

From the 5th-semester companies start to hire for summer internships, and by end of the 7th, the placement process will almost be over. Samsung, Bosch, and Fidelity these are the companies visited so far for internships, and many more companies are yet to come. The highest package that was recorded last year was 52LPA and the Average for our department is around 7LPA. Mostly all companies that visit our college hire for SDE roles. The placement percentage for our branch is 90%. I am also willing to get placed in good company by the end of my course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to be an engineer that's why I chose this course. Student 21 and teachers 12 it's the ratio. Teachers are very well qualified but lack the experience that's why teachers join our college to get some experience The teaching is good and smart classes are available. Sem exams are conducted after every 4 months and 3 internals are conducted. Its somewhat difficult to pass the exams, If you study a bit you can pass them.
