Yes, you need to apply for XLRI separately. The application form of the XAT and XLRI is similar and you need to pay an extra amount for applying for XLRI. XAT exam is conducted on behalf of XAMI. You should register for admission at XLRI just before the last date to avoid any last-minute complications.

If you are registering only for XAT, you need to pay only 1500 for registration. Whereas, if you are registering also for XLRI, you need to pay 250 rupees extra.

Also, in the XAT registration if you are applying for XLRI then you are supposed to choose the program of your choice i.e. Business management/ Human resource management/ Global business management and general management program.

What is the process of getting an original IGNOU degree certificate?

PM
Priyank Mishra Posted On : October 14th, 2022
BA in English (language), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)

The procedure is extremely simple. Obtain admission, complete assignments, and register for the exam at the desired exam center. After passing the exams, which can take between three and six years. Following that, you will be given a mark sheet and a provisional certificate. To obtain an original degree, you must wait at least six to twelve months for the convocation to be held by IGNOU, and you must pay a nominal fee of Rs 600-900 for registration and certificate.

If you are unable to attend the convocation, your certificate will be mailed to your home address.

If your degree certificate was not delivered to your home, no worries. Simply go to the IGNOU office in Maidan Garhi, Delhi, and show your university-issued ID card to obtain your degree certificate. They will verify your information and issue your degree certificate. However, you will be required to pay convocation fees.

What is re-registration in IGNOU?

VT

It is the process of applying to IGNOU for the next semester online or offline and paying the amount specified by IGNOU based on the degree. Re-registration allows you to enroll in classes for the following semester to complete your degree.

There was also an offline process, but that letter was closed, so I'm not sure if they're still accepting the DD at the counter (RC) or not. I prefer to take online steps because they are simple and convenient. You can also do it offline if your study center's regional center is still accepting applications at the counter.

Also, if you do not fill out the re-registration form this semester for any reason, you can easily pay in the following semester.

There would be no problem if you returned for 6 months. So don't do it. Costs vary depending on the courses you choose.

In IGNOU what if I fail to re register before the last day of registration?

DS
Deborah Sam Posted On : October 20th, 2022
MCA from IGNOU

Re-register before the registration deadline. If you are unable to do so, you will be unable to participate in the next semester for which you have registered. It will also give you a 6-month delay and allow you to register only on your next attempt, which is not a good idea. So be mindful of your re-registration and exam forms.

However, if you fail to re-register, don't be too concerned. Simply try to cover all previous exams and back from the previous semester and prepare for it. Learn some useful skills related to your course as well. Don't squander these six or twelve months; instead, get to work.

Is it necessary to register or pay fees for 2nd year in the 1st year itself for an IGNOU programme?

VS

You do not have to necessarily pay your fees in the first year itself. If you do, you will benefit a lot from it. So yes it’s a luxury, not a necessity.

At IGNOU, you have to pay fees for only 2 years even if you take 5 years to complete the course. IGNOU exam fees are payable every time you appear, per course basis. Keep in mind that practical and theoretical exam fees are different for the same course.

Your course has a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 5 years of eligibility. It can be convenient if you deposit your fees for the second year and then opt for the exams within the stipulated 5 years. The major benefit will be that you become eligible to appear for exams in both years.

Keep the following points in mind regarding your eligibility to appear for an exam at IGNOU

  • You should have been registered for a course which is only possible after fee deposition.

  • After registering you should have completed the semester/year allocated.

  • Assignments must be submitted

  • Attendance must be complete (only if necessary)

  • The maximum period of registration validity for a 2-year programme is 5 years

  • You can appear for any course in any order.

  • If you have paid the fees for the 2nd year as well, you are free to merge both courses.

Simply, by registering for the 2nd year as well, you become eligible to complete your course anytime within 5 years. It does not matter if you do not appear on your first-year exams or do not complete your assignments. You can do it conveniently within 5 years.

If I switch from IIM Jammu to a better IIM when I convert from the waitlist, will I lose the money I paid to Jammu or will it get adjusted in the other IIM?

I see that you have got accepted into IIM Jammu but still are willing to switch to a better IIM.

Regarding the fees, lessening you will have to refer to the prospectus. I think there is a certain date beyond which there might be a fixed deduction.

But this process of deduction and refund will take place at IIM Jammu itself and does not concern the new IIM you will be joining.

So whichever institute you are joining next, the admission process and fees deposition will begin afresh.
