Should I join new IIITs like IIIT-Trichy, IIIT-Dharwad (Bangalore) and IIIT-Lucknow although they don't have a permanent campus and a college by MHRD?

Should I choose IIIT Kottayam, Dharwad, Kurnool or Trichy?
You should prefer IIIT Kottayam. It has a similar curriculum as IIIT Hyderabad. IIIT Kottayam placements 2022 concluded with the highest CTC of INR 42 LPA. In the last three years, the average CTC of the institute has increased from INR 4 LPA to INR 9.68 LPA. reputed companies such as IBM, L&T, Reliance(JIO), NISSAN, etc. took part in the placement drive.
IIIT Kottayam has a thriving coding culture, almost at par with old IIITs such as IIITA, IIITG, etc. Students of the institute have been performing well in competitive coding forums.
Which one should be preferred: IIIT Srirangam or IIIT Sri City?
IIIT Srirangam should be preferred to IIIT Sri City. Though both were established in 2013, IIIT Trichy, or IIIT Srirangam as it is popularly known due to the name of its location in Trichy, has been functioning its temporary campus at NIT Trichy, which happens to be its mentor institute as well, campus until 2020.

Another factor which tips the favor towards IIIT Srirangam are its placement records. The institute also records a highest internship package of INR 2.25 lakhs.
IIIT Sri City, though has been mentored by IIIT Hyderabad, has been functioning temporarily at the Institute for Financial Management and Research, Sri City campus. The mentor institute carries little importance, but the location of the temporary campus really does. Thus looking at these parameters, IIIT Srirangam is preferable.
In your opinion, which is the best, among IIIT Sri City, Guwahati, Kota, Lucknow and Trichy?
If you are considering IIIT Kolkata, IIIT Sri City and IIIT Trichy are all colleges that have done very well and are also developing quite well. Compared to these, IIIT Guwahati and Lucknow are not quite up to the mark yet.
As for IIIT Sri City, I have a friend studying there and according to him, this college is one of the first among the others to have its own campus.
- It was completed about a year or two ago so if you are looking for admission, definitely go to IIIT Sri City.
- The very first batch from this college had an average package offer of INR 7.5 LPA and is quite good as compared to mid-level NITs.
- The mentorships provided by IIITH also helps a lot and the curriculum here is amazing.
- If you are looking for research, almost every student ends up publishing a research paper in B.Tech. Students are even better to go on to publish around 6 to 7 international papers as well.

- IIITM Gwalior is the first IIIT to be established in India, thus having its own good reputation over the years.
- The campus is large (over 160 acres) consisting of a football ground, a cricket ground, a volleyball ground, a sports complex, a hospital, an academic block, an open-air theatre, and a lot of other things inside.
- It has a much better infrastructure than IIIT Sonepat.
- All faculties in IIIT Gwalior have a Ph.D., which is the minimum qualification. This makes it evident that the teaching capabilities are quite good.
