You will choose your own path, and how much you are willing to learn is entirely up to you. It is up to you to improve your skills.

NIET is the only college in the Delhi NCR that has the following characteristics:

  • Recognized by three government bodies: NAAC Grade 'A,' NBA, and NIRF Ranking.

  • Best faculty members, infrastructure, lab facilities, and round-the-clock placement activities.

  • Furthermore, the NIET administration is most concerned with placing each student. For student placement, NIET was the first institute in NCR to have a Microsoft Innovation Centre (to provide students with industry-specific training), Prometric Lab, Mock Preparation, TCS Accreditation, and many other facilities.

  • Thousands of NIET students are working in various MNCs such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Cisco, Google, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and others, as well as various government organizations in India.

Although you want to work for a large IT firm, if you do not get a job with a large IT firm, do not lose faith in yourself. If you get a job in a small IT company, it's not a bad option for freshers because you'll learn a lot and have more responsibilities.

You can definitely get a placement offer in a big IT company from NIET. I am sure your seniors and faculties will say the same if you asked them. Here are some things that may help you in reaching your goal.

  • Be polite and respectful to your teachers, because if they like you they will be happy to help you. If you don't, you can lose points from the internal marks.
  • It's a good idea to involve yourself in other activities. If you are interested in coding, participate in online coding competitions. You can also take part in sports, singing, dance drama.
  • If you are interested in working for a company such as TCS, you should maintain high grades through all three years of college. Employers have their own requirements for hiring. Some companies will hire you only if your average is above 60 percent. Some will ask for 70% aggregate till the 3rd year.
  • If your communication skills are poor, you will have a hard time finding a job after graduation. So, focus on getting better at it. It will be hard to do so in the 7th sem with placements breathing down your neck.
  • Stay in touch with your seniors. This can help in networking regarding placement and internships.

So, concentrate on your academics but don’t forget to have a good time too with your friends.
