Which is a better option, MDI Gurgaon or IIM Shillong?
MDI Gurgaon is a better option. It has a better location and offers good placement and return on investment. It is situated close to a major city. So, you will get better opportunities in terms of placements, internships, live projects, etc.
It has a great placement record. During MDI Gurgaon placements 2022, more than half of the batch received salary package of INR 25 LPA. The average CTC for the whole batch was INR 23 LPA.

Course Fees: At MDI Gurgaon the course fee is around 18.48 lakhs, while IIM Shillong charges around 14 lakhs.

- According to the recent placement statistics of 2021, the average CTC offered to students at IIM Shillong was around 19 LPA while the highest CTC offered was 32 LPA. A total of 64 recruiting companies visited the campus for placement drive.
- At MDI the average CTC offered was 23 LPA and the highest CTC was 44 LPA. 128 recruiters visited the campus for the 2021 placement drive, among which 60+ recruiting companies were new.
Reputation and Location:
Located in the commercial hub, Gurgaon, MDI is one of the top business schools in India. It was established by the Industrial Finance Corporation of India.
IIM Shilong is located in the North-Eastern part of India. It was established quite recently and it will need some time to establish as a brand.
