It is better to study at VIT Chennai. It is the best private institute in the region. VIT Chennai has an impressive placement record. During the 2022 placement drive, a total of 118 companies took part in the placement drive. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 75 LPA. Companies such as DE Shaw, Microsoft, HP, Infosys, PayPal, etc. takes part in VIT Chennai placements.

I think I can give a satisfactory answer to this question, as I know a little bit about both these institutes through my friends.

If you have the option and resources opting for VIT Chennai will be good. It is one of the best private colleges in India. The placement record of the institute is quite good with decent salary packages. Since it is a private college, there are many clubs and societies through which you will have good exposure. The campus life at VIT is also quite enjoyable.
On the other hand, at VSSUT you will have great peers. As it is a Govt. college, admission is only based on merit.
