NL Dalmia Institute

NL Dalmia Institute is a well-renowned place to start your career from. Moreover, the professors in the institute are well-qualified and experienced. In fact, more notably, professors in the institute only refer to materials that can be availed in M7 universities. So, there are no questions regarding the quality of education delivered at the institute.

I have a friend at the institute and he provided me with a few insights about some subjects taught in the institute.

  1. Economics: The curriculum of Economics was in a way equivalent to the standardized graduate class of UChicago or MIT. In spite of that, the rigorous mathematical curriculum made the course quite tough. However, various parts of the course went under a legitimate change.
  2. Front-end Roles, Equity, and Fixed Income: The institute is known to operate the top slot in India for various aspects of equity and fixed income. You can run a check with any particular domestic investment bank or asset management company and understand better.
  3. Strategy: It grabs the front seat for both equity research and PE roles hand in hand. Students somewhat have a vision that running financial models such as utilizing MCMC simulations and DCF can be everything packed in one. But, it partially also depends on what your aim is.

Basics like these can be of great help in cases of low-level posts, while on the other hand, if somebody is pushing forth, then strategy remains highly important.
