Should I leave IIEST Shibpur for IISER Bhopal engineering sciences?

According to NIRF rankings, IIEST comes at 20th place in the Indian Engineering College ranking, and 44 in overall college ranking. While IISER Bhopal comes 56th place.

Your college selection also depends on your interest and future career plans. Both the colleges provide a different environment. 

• IIEST Shibpur is an Engineering college and will help you in getting a mostly office job. You will be guaranteed a job in core branches just after graduation.
• IISER Bhopal is more scientific research-oriented and will help you in getting research jobs at the end of the course. 

Therefore, choose either IIEST Shibpur or IISER Bhopal depending on what career you want to pursue. Don’t go with college popularity and rankings. If you have any goal just follow that and choose the right institution.
