The cut off of any IIM depends on various kinds of factors. The primary factors among them are listed below

  1. Interviews
  2. Graduation and 12th board marks
  3. Performance in GD/WAT
  4. Stream or educational background i.e. engineer or commerce or arts background
  5. Availability of seats

The overall qualifying cut-off for the general category in IIM Shillong for 2021 is 80%ile, however, the 2020 CAT cutoff was 90%ile.

The table below shows the percentile required in each test are as follows:

Seat Reservation:

  • 15% seats are reserved for SC
  • 7.5% seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe
  • 27% seats are reserved for students from Other Backward Classes belonging to the 'non-creamy' layer.

Clearing CAT doesn’t mean you can simply get admission to IIM. You also have to give your best in GD and WAT and then only you can get qualified.

You should be worried about getting admission into any particular college for that matter. Work hard and give your best in each interview and GD round. Hope for the best to come.
