The placement scenario at KIIT exceeds expectations. It is considered to be one of the eminent universities in India. It is ranked 44 overall by NIRF 2020.

More than 90 companies participated in the placement program offering 3500 jobs. Approximately 2000 students got placed in reputed companies.

Day 0, Day 1, Day 2 are when the companies arrive. It is expected that better companies come at the beginning of the drive. 

The rounds can be classified into two types – Technical and HR.

  • HR round contains behavioural questions like “Why do you want to join this company”. 
  • While the Technical round depends upon your branch subjects and computer science. 

Some Important Facts about Placements - 

  • Students not from CS should be well prepared.
  • Students must study OS, CN, DBMS. 
  • You should take up many Projects to talk about in the interview.
  • You should be well acquainted with any one programming language.
  • You should have the knowledge of the basics of CS programming using C, C++ or Java. 
  • Students good at competitive coding, are able to grab higher packages as well. Companies like HighRadius, ZS Associates come for all branches.

During Day 1 the placement exams are usually tougher to crack. The written test has a sectional cut-off as well as an overall cut-off. Once you get through the written test, the interview is not that difficult as it is mainly based on HR questions only.

Other companies including Dell, Deloitte, Barclays, Microsoft, SAP, etc., visited KIIT. The highest package was offered by NowFloats – 25 LPA. For companies like these, you need to have good projects.

The students should attend the pre-placement talk. It helps to grow a connection between the student and the company. You will get an idea about the job and also represent your University.

The most important thing is your CV. You must be sure about the things you put in your CV. So, you could answer any type of questions regarding it, whether it is a project, achievement, or a technical subject.
