Which is a better option, DAIICT or mining at NIT Surathkal?

DAIICT ranked 91st among the engineering colleges in India. Whereas, NIT Surathkal ranks 21st by NIRF ranking. The best option among these two depends on the course of your choice.

The institute offers specializations across BTech, MTech, and Ph.D. courses.

• The admission for BTech is a 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as compulsory subjects. JEE Main is compulsory for selection in BTech.
• For admission in MTech, the candidates must have 60% marks in BTech. A valid GATE score is mandatory for admission.

The institute offers a BTech program for Mining Engineering. Mining at NIT Surathkal deals with practices, theories, technology in the extraction of mineral resources.

• The candidates’ selection is based on the JEE Main score, and the seats are allocated through JoSAA counseling.
• In 2019 the closing cutoff for Mining was 16228-21543.

There are a total of 60 seats available for the Mining branch and the course fee is INR 1.51 lakhs per annum.
