No, MSU Baroda is not a government college. In Fact, it was an established by the royal family of Gaikwad, the Maharaja Sayajirao. Ever since then, it has been functioning under the royal family without government authorization.

Despite not being a government institution, MSU Baroda is widely recognized at national and international levels and is one of the most reputed colleges in India.
