Both are the reputed colleges in their unique aspects. The ranking of the IIEST and NIT Durgapur is 19 and 46 respectively. However, one should not decide the best college based on the ranking. So, here are the few aspects of both colleges such as internships, placements, alumni, etc.

IIEST, Shibpur: It is ranked 19 by NIRF in the engineering category.

Admission-

  • The college accepts students for BTech CST/IT based on the JEE Main rankings.

  • The cut-off for the CST and IT in 2019 were 9379 and 17031 respectively.

  • The fee for the course is 1.37 lakhs. However, there are several scholarship programs available for the students of this college.

Placements- The college trains the students in the form of the best internship programs and enhances the real-time experience.

  • The highest and average salary of the students is 39.12 LPA and 9 LPA.

  • Companies visiting the campus are Microsoft, Accenture, Google, Capgemini, Axis Bank, BHEL, Foster Wheeler, Indian Navy, Deloitte, Infosys, Intel, etc.
