NTTF diploma program is recognized by the Department of Technical Education, Govt. of Kerala. As per the Govt. rules, you will be eligible for a lateral entry admission to the second year of B.Tech courses. There are various colleges that accept NTTF diplomas. The official website of NTTF has a list of such institutes.

One of my friends graduated from NTTF and having read some online reviews by the alumni, here are some things I can share, which might give you a clear idea.

  • Honestly, in my opinion, do not go for engineering after NTTF. You can join engineering through lateral entry but it could result in a waste of your time and resources.
  • You could get better exposure and better knowledge at a diploma or post-diploma level at NTTF than from an engineering college.
  • Also, the companies hire diploma or post-diploma students rather than students with an engineering degree.
  • If you aim to do higher studies, It is suggested that you go for the post-diploma program rather than engineering.

If this option does not appeal to you, you can also apply for some STED council program which is of very short duration, being 1-2 weeks long and is being conducted at Calicut or Bengaluru.
