If you are from the general category, you should have a score of at least 180+ to get into NIT T. For branches like Computer Science you will need a score of around 250+. For the OBC category, the required score stays around 150. While for SC/ST category, it’s around 100+.

If you are a general category student, then you should have at least 180+ marks for getting into NIT Trichy. For computer science and science engineering, you should have at least 250+ marks. If you belong to the OBC category, then it is around 150+ marks for getting into NIT Trichy, and for ST and SC categories, it is around 100+ marks for getting into NIT Trichy.

Here is the 2020 cutoff for NIT Trichy.

You must keep in mind that your ranking is decided based on your JEE Main score with a weightage of 60% and marks scored in the higher secondary board carries 40% weightage. So, if you are a topper in your HSC board examination, a 200+ score in JEE will be enough for you to get into CSC and NIT Trichy otherwise you must have a score of 250+. By any means, you must get a rank below 500 in JEE Main if you are an OBC student.
