What is your review of College of Engineering, Pune (COEP)?
COEP Pune is a reputed technological institute and offers decent academics and placement opportunities to the students. As far as teaching goes, you can expect to have 50-50 experience. Some of the faculties are excellent and have in-depth knowledge about their subjects, while others are not so much. COEP has a good infrastructure. The departmental labs are well-equipped.
The institute has a good placement record. The highlights of recent COEP placements show the median CTC to be around INR 5 LPA. VISA, eBay, Barclays, Oracle, etc. are among the major recruiters to visit the campus placement.

College of Engineering, Pune, or COEP is one of the reputed colleges in Maharashtra. It is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). COEP offers B.Tech, M.Tech, PG Diploma, and P.hD programs.
COEP has its own training and placement cell that conducts Seminars, Group Discussions, Assessment Tests, Mock Interviews to help the students get ready for placements. The top recruiters at the institute include Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, IBM Software, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Tata Elxsi, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Arcesium, etc. The highest salary package offered to the students is 33 lakhs per annum and the average salary package is 6-7 lakhs per annum.
The crowd is diverse but has more Marathi students. Marathi culture has a huge influence on the college and it reflects upon the events and activities. Sometimes the teachers also drift to Marathi while teaching. So, learning Marathi is advisable but not compulsory. It will just boost up your social skills and class participation.
The college is well maintained and has all the necessary facilities. There is decent wifi available on campus. The institute offers hostel accommodation for both boys and girls. The campus has courts for Badminton, Basketball and there is a common playground for other sports. The institute also has a Boat Club. The college has a very welcoming environment.
There are also clubs to engage students in extracurricular activities. There are Astronomy club, Quiz club, Debating club, Robotics club, Entrepreneurship club or E-cell, Environmental club, Technical club, History club, Boat club, etc. They also have a satellite team. Many events like Blood Donation Camps, Workshops, River-Cleaning projects, take place on the campus.
COEP organizes 3 fests each year, MindSpark (annual technical fest), Zest (sports fest), Regatta (boat club fest). COEP also has a yearly Annual Social Gathering for the students.
