Both Thapar University and Manipal University offer excellent BTech programs in Computer Science. However, while choosing one over the other, you can consider the following points of comparison,
In all, Thapar University has a better reputation, opportunities and attracts a better crowd. So unless you are getting your preferred branch in Manipal only, go for Thapar University
Anna University is ranked as follows:
The current world ranking is 1168. The national ranking is 25. Education Rank is 530 in terms of quality. The alumni employment ranking is 1488. The research Performance Rank is 1111. The overall rating is 69.3.
The University's Main Campus covers 189 acres and is bordered on the north by the Adyar River and on the south by Raj Bhavan. The Madras Institute of Technology at Chrompet is the University's second campus, spanning 52 acres. Taramani, Chennai, has a third campus that spans 5 acres. ISRO has given Anna University the task of creating the "Microsatellite" known as ANUSAT.
It is the first university in India to have a satellite that will carry payloads for technological demonstrations. ANUSAT, which weighs about 35 kg and uses 40 W of power, will function as a store and forward communication station. There are ground stations at MIT, AU, and IIT Kharagpur. The total cost of the project is Rs. 5 crores, and a clean room is included. A facility for assembly is established at the MIT Aerospace department. The structure is built at the College of Engineering, Guindy, along with significant power and other electronic subsystems. Software for thermal, control, orbital, ground and payload systems is created by MIT and Anna University departments.
As you did not mention the branch of your choice, I will try to answer in a general sense.
Overall, the PESU South Campus benefits from being a part of the PES group. It holds an advantage over MVJCE Bangalore in multiple areas. For example, PESU south campus has better infrastructure and placements. However, it is way more stricter than MVJCE.
If the strictness part won’t bother you, I would recommend you choose PESU south campus for your higher studies.
Each of them has its own set of strengths and weaknesses. And, instead of choosing the oldest college or the highest package as the criterion, students should conduct a SWOT analysis to see which colleges best align with their long-term goals.
IIM Indore: Because of its age, it is regarded as a premium choice among the student fraternity. However, a closer examination reveals that the batch size of 600+ is a grave trap for students with mediocre backgrounds. With a large batch size, you have little chance of being shortlisted by big brands appearing in their report. However, getting into an older college with a good reputation will work out in the long run if one works hard in the corporate world.
IIM Shillong: Founded in 2008, not long before the new IIMs, it has its own interviewing process rather than the CAP. Both the new IIMs and Shillong are progressing at the same rate. On the other hand, the state of affairs in the world. This is primarily due to logistical constraints; recruiters for IIM grads are typically top-level managers. Each minute counts for top-level executives, and losing time for travel is the last thing they want to do.
IIM Ranchi: One of the country's fastest-growing IIMs, it has seen phenomenal growth in recent years. IIM Ranchi has outperformed Shillong in a short period of time. IIM Ranchi has two flagship courses, PGDM and PGDHRM, and is the only IIM that offers HR-specific courses. With most of the early alumni in higher HR positions, they have an advantage over other colleges in convincing them to bring companies to campus. As a result, their placement is improved, and with smaller batch sizes, everyone has nearly equal opportunity. However, IIM Ranchi has its own constraints, as it is still operating from a temporary campus. IIM Ranchi is the slowest to build its own campus.
As per the alumni of CIPET, DPT, and DPMT both are good and a bit different from each other. Students opting for DPT have limited career growth. For DPT, areas of growth are limited to processing or quality executive. The exposure for students opting for DPMT is vast. The opportunities for DPMT include tool room, mould design, research and development, and new product development.
Points of Focus:
Difference:
Students can opt for DPMT for more exposure and scope.
I know a few things about LNMIIT since I have few friends there. It is a public-private non-profitable college, located in Rajasthan. From what I heard from my friends, I will not recommend choosing this institute.
If you want to build upon your career, don’t choose LNMIIT. Mostly, half of the batch fails in the exams.
Finally, life is tough at LNMIIT, so don’t go for it. Look for other options.

It is subjective and it completely depends on your goals and your preferences, and how much the IIM tag matters to you. If you are really keen and want to have a career in operations and especially supply chain management then you can/should go for NITIE.
For all other streams go for IIM-I without any second thought. The placement is good there even with the big batch size and all, and why consider yourself at the bottom of the batch before even entering the institution? Even if you are able to keep yourself in the top 50 percent you will get a good and lucrative job and package.
