IIT Ropar placements reveal the average package for Civil Engineering to be INR 12 LPA.

What should I choose, IIT Mandi for electrical and IIT Bhubaneswar for ECE or IIT Ropar?

The highest package and average package of IIT Bhubaneswar are INR 44.10 per month and INR 18.95 per month respectively. On the other hand, IIT Ropar has the highest package of INR 50 LPA and the average package of INR 15.85 LPA. 

According to some unofficial online sources, the average package for B.tech courses at IIT Mandi in 2022 has been INR 24.1 LPA. The average package for BTech CSE was the highest, standing at INR 28.6 LPA.

Which one is better, mech. at IIT Bhubaneswar or mech. at IIT Ropar?

Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar is quite good. The faculty is well qualified and experienced. The school of Mechanical Sciences has 16 well-equipped laboratories along with a high-end computational lab. According to 2019 placement statistics, Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar had 83% placement. The average CTC offered was 11.44 LPA.

IIT Ropar has been ranked at no. 29 as far as the overall ranking provided by the Ministry of HRD for the Indian Universities. The campus placement is also good, 2019 placement statistics show, 64% of students got placed from the Mechanical Engineering department. As it is a new IIT good infrastructure facilities are there and trained faculties who guide the students to get good job opportunities.

Both IIT Bhubaneswar and IIT Ropar offer a decent Mechanical Engineering program in terms of faculties, lab facilities, and placement. So, choose the institute according to your convenience.
