B.Tech Computer Science, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada

It is difficult to compare AU with JNTUK. Both of these institutes are quite reputed in Andra Pradesh. Both have a few specific branches that are exceptionally good. AU has branches like Marine Engineering, that JNTUK doesn’t. There is a limited student intake in both institutions. For each branch, there are only 50 seats at both institutes.

The placement facilities are quite good. In the recent placement drive, the average CTC offered at AU and JNTUK were 3.5 LPA and 4 LPA respectively. Both of these institutes also witnessed many IAS aspirants. So, you can choose either of these two institutes, based on your branch of choice.

No, you can’t pursue M.A after your 12th. It’s not possible since a Master of Arts is a post-graduate degree. The prerequisite for doing an MA degree is a Bachelor of Arts or other undergraduate degrees. Without a graduation degree, you won’t be eligible for an MA.

After completing your graduation, you can apply for an M.A in Andhra University. Apart from the prerequisite, you also need to qualify for the entrance test conducted by the university to get admission.
