Which is better for an MBA (finance), ITM Navi Mumbai, or XIME Bangalore?

FA
Farhin Akhtari Posted On : June 24th, 2021
Studied at Commits Bangalore (2019)

Most of my friends are doing pretty well after graduating from XIME Bangalore. In my opinion, you really do not need to compare the two. Here are some reasons why:

Pros:

  • XIME has a strong alumni network in the IT industry.
  • Most of these are scattered throughout fortune 500 companies, startups and some are even entrepreneurs.
  • You can even get in touch with them via online groups.
  • Most of the professors are well versed in their fields.
  • You will of course find mediocre ones as well but there are more good ones than them.
  • Dr. Philip, the founder, who is an ex IIM Bangalore dean is very well professionally connected.
  • The college has a number of intercollegiate competitions and the tuition fees are not that high either.
  • You will also get a lot of international exposure.
  • You will get to interact with students from Latin America, USA, Europe, etc. You can also try to bag an international internship which is generally funded by college.

Categories

XIME Bangalore

Course Fee

11 lakh

Highest CTC

13-16 LPA

Average CTC

7-8 LPA

Recruiting Companies

Infosys, Wipro, PwC, Dell, etc.

Cons:

  • The college still has to develop its brand name due to which it is not that well known in the industry.
  • The campus life is not that great as the authorities are quite strict and it almost feels like school.

XIME is a good institution. You get good ROI and they also have good ethics and try to give you a fair chance at things. You will also have to put in effort from your end. Good luck.

Which one is better, a B.Tech in CSE in AOT under MAKAUT or a BSc in Psychology in Loreto College in Kolkata?

TG
Tathagata Ghose Posted On : November 30th, 2021
B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, Academy Of Technology (2020)

You should decide which option is best for you. However, you should keep in mind that, doing a B.Sc Hons degree in Psychology will not offer many job opportunities. There are many students with such degrees and very few job possibilities. On the other hand, doing a B.Tech in CSE from AOT will give you three options. You can choose to go for higher studies. You can get decent job offers in the technical and non-technical fields after you complete your degree.

Which is a better choice: EE at the IITM or CSE at the IIITH?

IA
Ishaan Arya Posted On : September 11th, 2020
B. Tech. Computer Science Engineering, International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (2017)

IIIT Hyderabad is considered to be one of the best colleges in the country to pursue computer science and engineering due to the excellent consistency it has obtained with the placement rate and the strong conceptual foundation offered to the students along with an intensive hands-on experience in designing and building prototypes. The college is mostly renowned for the highly consistent placement rate of the CSE branch which is mostly over 90%, and a 100% placement rate of CSE branch was recorded during the 2018-19 academic session with the highest CTC of 46 LPA. Whereas, the median and average CTC offered was respectively, 20 LPA and 8 LPA. The major recruiters were Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, VMware, Walmart, etc.

IIT Madras which has been ranked as the no. 1 engineering college in India many times by NIRF has got some of the most prestigious and dedicated faculty members. They impart in-depth practical and theoretical knowledge through an extensive curriculum that makes the students ready for industry. The college had a 86% placement rate for electrical engineering in the session 2018-19, while the average salary package offered was 12.4 LPA. Top recruiters offering roles of analyst, software engineer, hardware engineer, power engineer are Intel, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, ISRO, American Express, and many more.

Both the courses are vastly different from each other and both institutions are the premier institutions of the country, and it would not do justice to pick one over the other. So choose the institute based on your choice of branch.

Which one is better for a BSc in agriculture, BFIT or Uttaranchal University?

AS

It really doesn’t matter, which institute you choose. For B.Sc Agriculture, there are little to no placement opportunities. So, you can choose either BFIT or Uttaranchal University. However, Uttaranchal University BSc Agriculture will be better comparably. As it offers better infrastructure, faculties, and facilities. The environment on campus is also ideal for studies.

GLIM, GIM, FORE, and LIBA offer general MBAs. So, you can your preferred specialization during your second year. This will give you a lot of freedom in terms of choosing your industry and job profile. All of these are good options. FORE has a great industry interface. Located in Delhi/NCR, it also enjoys a locational advantage.

Your preference order for these four B-School should be - FORE=GIM>GLIM>LIBA.

NIBM is a sectoral B-School, so choose it only if you are interested in joining the banking sector. Though IIFM isn’t a sectoral B-School, it is only known for its finance specialization. It is also rated below FORE, GIM, GLIM, and LIBA.

Which college is better for food technology, Tanuvas or Kongu Engineering College, Erode?

KT
Kushal Tondon Posted On : September 10th, 2021
B.Tech from Sharda University

Kongu Engineering College is better than TANUVAS for Food Technology. It is the best in terms of experience, faculty, lab facilities, and environment, among other things. TANUVAS is great for animal research but not for food technology.

Kongu Engineering College has many labs with high-quality equipment, placements with good professors, and many facilities to meet your needs. It has cutting-edge equipment like a Freeze dryer, Microwave, and Infrared dryers, Spray dryers, and HPLC.

Which is better, CSE in MAIT or IT in USICT?

DB
Devansh Bhatia Posted On : April 23rd, 2021
B.Tech from USCIT, graduated in 2019

Both USICT and MAIT have an attractive campus. They also provide special USS benefits to the students.

One of my relatives used to be a student of USICT. In spite of being a student of that institute, he holds both institutes in high regard. A lot of students come from distant places and traveling gets time-consuming.

Before you choose your institute, make sure you keep the distance factor in mind because you might very well be spending several hours. This can be detrimental to you and other students who will take pains to reach the institute. Four years is not a short time, after all.

As for placements, you will be allowed to sit in for companies at IP University’s main entrance if you meet the requirements of eligibility and if your aggregate cut-off meets the requirements.

CSE in MAIT will give you a lot of opportunities to learn and grow. The department is also very supportive. The package you will get would be pretty decent if you are not really on the core technical side. Your expertise will determine the package you will be offered. The seniors and faculty will guide you in that regard.
