MBBS,MD, DM CARDIOLOGY Medicine and Healthcare, Maulana Azad Medical College

For a first-year MBBS student, any special preparation for AIIMS PG is not necessary. But following some books as listed below would help in overall development.

Subject/ Discipline

Book/ Author

Physiology (1st year)

Guyton

Anatomy (1st year)

Grays and BDC

Biochemistry (1st year)

Lange/ Harper’s/ Sathyanarayan

Pathology (2nd year)

PSM (2nd year)

Park

Ophthalmology

AK Khurana/ Parson

ENT

Dhingra

MCQs for 2nd and 3rd year

Arvind Arora

Key Highlights:

  • The first task is to build a stronghold on all basic concepts. The syllabus of PG entrance is based entirely on topics from MBBS. So, the first year is a vital part of the syllabus which needs to be covered well.
  • Reading the standard syllabus books is actually enough during the initial years. Books like Guyton, Grays, and Harper are good for both the MBBS course and PG entrance. Moreover, covering the syllabus from point to point is the overall necessity.
  • Only after clearing the theoretical concepts through standard syllabus books, it is advised to practice MCQs for entrance like AIIMS PG.
  • If you are done with the syllabus and have practiced enough, you can opt for a standard crash course for AIIMS PG.

Having a consistent pace helps to extract the best out of college life, and achieve the ultimate goal at the same time. Studying every day to some extent and covering topics consistently decreases the one-time workload.

Where can I get the previous years' MSc chemistry entrance examination questions papers of Aligarh Muslim University?

NP
Nilima Pandey Posted On : August 14th, 2020
M.Sc in High Energy Physics from Aligarh Muslim University (2017)

The previous year's examination question papers of Aligarh Muslim University can not be found on the internet. The main reason behind that is AMU does not make their paper public.

If you want the previous year's papers, contact the members of the seminar library of the AMU chemistry department. Or else you can check the Maulana Azad Library about the previous year's papers of MSc. If you know any research scholars in the department, they might help you. Moreover, in Aligarh, there is a Shamshad market, famous for bookstores. You can buy reference books, previous year papers, etc. from the bookstores there.

Where can I practice BITSAT mock test papers?

YT

Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanchanbagh (2019)

There are various options for online mock test series for practicing the BITSAT test papers. In the following, some of them are discussed.

MyPAT:

  • This is relatively tougher than the actual question paper, but it prepares you for the worst case.
  • This test series analyses the accuracy level of the student and identifies the weakness.
  • It compares the student's performances with the other student all over the country, along with the average time that is taken in solving each question.

Embibe:

  • It is another good mock test series for BITSAT. It has the same difficulty level as the actual test.
  • It also has the previous year’s question set, which gives the student a basic idea regarding the pattern and difficulty level of BITSAT.
  • The analysis given by Embibe is slightly less than FIITJEE but it is good enough.

TCY Online:

  • It is the least challenging exam portal, and this exam portal is affordable to everyone.
  • Besides, this exam portal is also different from the above mentioned two because this portal interfaces with the same test as the actual BITSAT test.

Keeping in mind the above considerations, it can be stated that MyPAT is the best to practice mock series for BITSAT test preparation.
