According to the reviews online, both colleges are equally good and have decent placement records. But Christ University overall is much better than St. Joseph’s College of Commerce in Bangalore.

Academics and placements are also better in Christ. They provide enough industrial exposure with seminars, industry visits, internships, etc. where the students are able to gain hands-in experience. It is also one of the most reputed colleges in India.
In my opinion, the best course among these is IPM. Some might even think I am a little biased towards this course but in reality once you learn the advantages of this program you will change your mind.
The Programme consists of 15 terms spread over a period of 5 years, with each year having 3 terms of 3 months. The subjects of the initial 3 years focus on the foundation and the last 2 years have core subjects that focus on Management.
Cons :
Still if you are not convinced that IPM is the best alone the courses you mentioned, the order for the other courses is
SSCBS> NMIMS> Christ
The only advantage the other courses have over IPM is that their model is tried and tested and open to lesser risks. Hence the scope is not that much limited.
First of all, I don’t deem it right for you to compare an MBA with Development studies as both are vastly different. Even comparing a General MBA with that in Rural Management is unjustified. The choice of the program depends on what your inclinations and interests are and what you want to do with your degree.
The points below will help you know the right choice for some general preferences.
It is essential to know what exactly a course offers and what you are after only then you can make an informed decision
If you are considering pursuing a BBA program, you may be interested in knowing that both Christ University and NMIMS, Mumbai are reputable institutions that offer quality education in this field.
Christ University has been consistently ranked as the number one university in India for its BBA program. The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of business management, while also emphasizing the development of essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
On the other hand, NMIMS is a well-known and reputed university that has established itself as a leading institution in the field of management education. The university's BBA program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in various aspects of business management, with a focus on developing leadership qualities and interpersonal skills.
In terms of choosing between the two, it is important to consider your personal preferences and career goals. If you are looking for an undergraduate program, Christ University could be a good option, considering its reputation and ranking in the field of BBA education. However, if you are considering pursuing a post-graduate program, NMIMS could be a better choice, given its expertise in the field of management education.
It is important to note that both universities have their unique strengths and advantages, and it may be worth exploring the details of each program to make an informed decision. It is always advisable to try for both universities, especially if you have the opportunity, and make your decision based on your interests, career goals, and other relevant factors.
One of my friends studied in Presidency University, Kolkata. According to him, it is one of the oldest and the most reputed educational institutions in the country.
Pursuing English Honours in Presidency Kolkata is a really good thing, as the degree you will receive after graduation is extremely valuable. You can also go for PhD, research or higher studies abroad with this degree.
Studying in Presidency Kolkata will automatically give you an upper hand. It is the most prestigious university in India. Very few talented students get admission in the English department, thus the competition is huge. Presidency Kolkata should be your first choice for an English Honours degree.
Both Christ University and St. Joseph College Bangalore are reputed. In terms of quality of education, the former is a little ahead. However, economically St. Joseph is a better choice. As the course fees are more affordable. But both will provide you with decent opportunities. Christ offers better foreign exposure in terms of foreign lecturers and professors.
Christ is also quite strict regarding dress codes and rules on campus. Accommodation around Christ is cheaper compared to St. Joseph. Since St. Joseph is located in central Bangalore.
You can choose either of these two institutions, according to your convenience
In terms of placements for MBA, NMIMS Mumbai is definitely better than Christ University. NMIMS Mumbai placements are pretty good. According to the placement highlights, students received an average CTC of INR 19 LPA. While the highest CTC offered to the students was INR 24 LPA. For Christ University, the average CTC is around INR 15 LPA.
NMIMS Mumbai is in a different league of B-School altogether. It is compared to SIBM Pune, DMS IIT Delhi, DMS IITM, etc.
Since I have friends pursuing Mechanical Engineering in both institutes, I can put their opinions in view. Both of them acknowledge the fact that the PES Electronic City campus is quite incomparable to Christ University, in terms of culture, academics, infrastructure, legacy, and factors alike.
All things considered, you should only opt for Christ University if you want to pursue Mechanical Engineering. If you can take responsibility for your own studies and can secure a job yourself, Christ University will be good for you.
In contrast, if you want to obtain good industry exposure and want the college to be a guiding force, then PES University will be a better choice.
Here are the latest placement highlights of both the institutes,

Christ University uploads a list of topics for micro presentations, in advance. These are general topics. You can prepare well ahead of time and make short notes of 5 to 6 points for each topic. Keep in mind that time given for micro presentation is 3 mins. So, practice delivering the presentation within time.
For personal interviews, the most frequently asked questions are ‘Why this course?’, ‘Why Christ?’, ‘Tell us something about yourself.’, etc. Try to answer these questions confidently.
Jain University is a better choice than Christ University. It is among the top-most university in Bangalore.
So, you should prefer Jain University over Christ University.
