As one of my close friends studied in the computer science department at NIT Patna, I can say that it is not at the same level as that of IIIT Allahabad. IIIT Allahabad is much more effective compared to NIT. Having studied at IIIT Allahabad, let me give you some facts as to why it stands out.
- IIIT Allahabad focuses on programming languages extremely well for those who are planning to master this field.
- Many MNCs also hire students from IIIT Allahabad. Many top global companies like Facebook and Google hire young students for their talent. You will probably not find these opportunities at NIT Patna.
- Moreover, IIIT Allahabad also has a really big 100-acre campus with 24/7 lab facilities. Compared to this, Patna is quite small.
- If you are staying in the hostel, the facilities there are good too.
- Lastly, if you are into sports, these facilities are not available at NIT Patna as compared to IIIT Allahabad.

Should I join IET DAVV or SGSITS for the CS branch?
If you are looking forward to studying the CS branch, any college among the two can be the winner. It doesn’t make much difference because both of them are of the same league. But, SGSITS is slightly better.
Reasons:
- SGSITS is the best in terms of campus placement. It has a record of almost 100% placements every year. Especially for CSE and IT, the graph of packages has been increasing every year.
- The institute conducts various events and competitions to upscale the students.
- It has the best coding environment.
Overall, the institute is a little strict for the CS branch but is the best choice.
Which college is better suited for a 3-year work experience engineer between NMIMS Mumbai and IIM Trichy/Udaipur?
Firstly let me clarify something. The 3-year work experience is not a suitable deciding factor for choosing a college. You should decide on a college on the basis of these parameters

What should I choose between DTU/NSUT EE and IIIT Pune CS?
Pursuing CSE from IIIT Pune will be a better option between DTU/NSUT EE and IIIT Pune CS.
Most of the students who complete B.Tech from non-technical streams get jobs in the IT sector. So it is better that you choose the stream in which you want to make a career. If you want to make your career in the Tech field then CSE from IIIT Pune will be a good option provided you have not planned to pursue EE yet. You can also pursue B.Tech in EE as there are lots of opportunities in it.
DTU, NSUT, and IIIT Pune are good institutes and have good placement records. You will surely get to learn a lot in either of the institutes and have fun 4 years at university. It is suggested you go for IIIT Vadodara. Living here for more than 4 years, I can say that it is a safe city and good to blend in.
- IIIT Vadodara is being mentored by DA-IICT which will help you gain exposure to many new opportunities and environments as compared to DAVV.
- The faculty is very well qualified and the placements have surely become better over the last few years.
- The Alumni cell and network are still developing to be strong.
- Cutoffs are high at IIIT Vadodara so the students can be quite competitive.
- The tag of IIIT also has its own advantages.
- Moreover, curriculum-wise, IIIT’s CSE/IT curriculum does not include irrelevant subjects and it focuses quite a lot on projects and practicals.
