It is advised to take MBA coaching classes at Unacademy. The IPMAT exam, which is required for admission to the IPM program, and the preparation modules for CAT coaching are very similar.
Since the instructors at Unacademy are all former students of prestigious B-schools, they are knowledgeable about how to ace these management exams. So, without any hesitation, choose Unacademy.
Engineering Design course offered at IIT Madras is a better option than BITS Pilani Mechanical Engineering. This program is a perfect combination of 60% Mechanical and 30% Electrical engineering. The curriculum is designed to suit the demands of the coming future in terms of developing a product from scratch.
ED from IIT Madras will provide better options for you in comparison to Mechanical at BITS Pilani. You can choose between
Higher studies: IITs have a better brand name than BITS globally and thus the IIT tag will fetch you the best higher studies opportunities in top foreign universities. Despite being a new department, ED has alumni in very reputed colleges like MIT, Georgia Tech, etc.
Placements: In this aspect too, IIT sits way ahead of BITS as many top companies just visit IITs. Specifically speaking, IIT Madras has scored the best in comparison to other IITs in terms of placements. The placements statistics of the ED department of IIT Madras are next in level to CS and Electrical offering better placements than Mechanical, and Chemical in terms of the number of students placed as well as the average package offered.
For either of the options, ED from IIT Madras seems to be the better option than Mechanical from BITS Pilani, especially considering the double fees you will have to pay in BITS.

For admission in PG courses in institutes such as IITs, NITs, NITIE, one would require to possess an official and valid GATE score. The acceptance/validity of the GATE score is mentioned on the GATE scorecard. It is usually up to 3 years. To this extent, one is eligible to apply for NITIE, IITs, and NITs.
For instance, if you appeared for your GATE examination in 2020, the officiality and validity of your GATE score would extent till 2023, i.e., 3 years. Hence, with that GATE scorecard, you may apply for admission in 2020, 2021, and 2022 as well.
At NITIE, the GATE score card is valid only for two years, it would be better to check the criterion before applying for it. If it is not accepted then you might have to appear for GATE again.
No, one can not switch from iMSc. to B.Tech after the first year. The first year courses of both these programs are entirely different. But one can change one’s branch within the iMSc. to and from Physics/Chemistry/Maths.
Having answered this question, here are the good aspects of iMSc. at SVNIT-
The iMSc. program is no less than any B.Tech branch of SVNIT. With hardwork and dedication, one can do wonders with this degree.
It would be better for you to sit for the CAT again. You just need to pay more attention and answer the questions diligently. If you are a person with an 85+ percentile, then you can easily crack above the 90 percentile, which opens ample opportunities, and you can secure a seat in the leading institutes like IMT, XIMB, IMI Delhi, IMI Ghaziabad, and so on.
As an NSUT student, the new CBCS (choice based credit system) allows you to choose your fields of study. This makes for more flexible courses. Also, NSUT has an excellent coding environment which will help you for your minor in Computer Science. Many students over there pursue coding, despite being from a branch other than IT/COE.
In DTU, you will have electives starting from 5th semester. These are department and general electives. IIIT Delhi offers the most flexible courses. Other than some fixed category credits, all the subjects are choice based.
Thus, in terms of providing flexible courses, this is the order of preference- IIITD> NSUT>DTU.
I feel the best option for you is IIT Indore CSE. The curriculum of MnC is pretty rigorous and rigid whereas in CS you have a plethora of domains to pursue your career in. Moreover, there isn’t any difference in the number and quality of companies visiting IIT KGP and IIT Indore now. New IITs like IIT Hyderabad and IIT Indore are doing better than some old IITs so you won’t regret choosing them over older ones.
IIT Indore functions from its permanent campus so you won’t be sacrificing the quality of campus life even.
Don’t choose IIT KGP or IIT Guwahati just because they have higher cutoffs. Rather prioritize the branches. That being said, CSE is the most demanded branch while MnC is math-intensive with less focus on the programming part and more focus on theoretical mathematics.
Ultimately let your interests make the decision and not the brand name. As far as brand name is concerned IIT KGP might be slightly better only because of its alumni network. Again, your branch preference matters more.
When considering Engineering Physics, the choice of the institute is a secondary factor while your inclination towards Physics is the primary concern. The course is not for those who take it casually without genuine interest in it.
I think IIT Guwahati is a better institute for EP. Those who have a branch change of mind should take the batch strength into consideration as only 10% of the batch is allowed to opt out of EP.
Thus, unless you're certain of EP, I would recommend you go for BITS or top NITs. This will help you if you are looking for a core course.
Majority subjects taught during B.Tech first year has no relation to the respective fields. Due to this syllabus design, students begin to lose interest in Engineering.
In the summer following your second semester, special exams will be conducted at NIT Patna. Through these exams you’ll get the chance to clear your first semester backlogs. One can only sit for 5 subjects at maximum during the special exams. As you have 4 backlogs, you can easily clear them during this time. There is no such mention in the grade card that you failed your exam. The difference is the session.
Normally in a grade card, the session is written as July-December. However, in your grade card it will be mentioned as Summer- Special.
Even if you don’t like your subjects, try passing in the second semester exams. If you don’t get a backlog in your second semester, you’ll receive a normal grade card for that semester and nowhere will it be mentioned that you failed in certain subjects in the previous semester.
You’ll have to get a minimum 60% (6 CGPA) overall to get your B.Tech degree from NIT Patna. So start working hard and try to maintain a decent score.
