IET Lucknow, KNIT Sultanpur, and MMM Gorakhpur are the engineering institutes in Uttar Pradesh. The admission of MMM is on MET/ JEE Mains basis, whereas the other two are on the cut-off of UPSEE. According to some of the reviews online, I would suggest you go for IET Lucknow.
The fee and placement details are below.
Criteria | IET Lucknow | MMM Gorakhpur | KNIT Sultanpur |
Fee | INR 3.44 Lakhs | INR 3.45 Lakhs | INR 2.2 Lakhs |
Average Package | INR 14 LPA | INR 13 LPA | INR 6 LPA |
Highest Package | INR 25 LPA | INR 18 LPA | INR 12 LPA |
Overall, IET and MMM are the best institutes. The choice between the two depends upon your own interest and the return on investment. KNIT Sultanpur is a namesake Government college. It is not good compared to the others.
It’s true that getting admission to CUSAT is easier than colleges like CET and GEC Thrissur. It has provisions for NRI seats and also conducts many spot admissions. The campus is not very disciplined and the increasing cutoffs have resulted in a huge intake recently. The quality of education has been compromised as a result. I think the reason it’s still highly ranked is that these rankings are flawed and manipulated. It’s better not to refer to these rankings while choosing a college.
Personally, I will suggest you choose colleges based on the following preference order
NIT Calicut>CET TRIVANDRUM>GEC THRISSUR>Government Engineering College Kottayam(RIT)>CUSAT>Model Engineering College
As you can see, CUSAT comes much later in the preference list so go for it only if it’s the last option.
ITM Mumbai is much better compared to IBS Hyderabad because they belong to a different segment of colleges.
ITM Mumbai has more of a traditionally based teaching approach whereas IBS Hyderabad has a Case-Based Learning approach. If you are someone who wants to learn concepts the old school way where everything is spoon-fed to you, go to ITM Mumbai if you want to learn something new and your perspectives of things happening around you IBS Hyderabad is the best place to be.

VSSUT Burla
Overall I feel VSSUT is better in terms of campus plumbers, hostel facilities, night canteens facility, and the variety of disciplines it offers.
It depends on which course you are choosing. Kalindi College is more known for its Commerce and Arts courses whereas Maitreyi College is more reputed for Science and Arts courses. So, you should choose your institute based on your field. Do your own research on the colleges and choose according to your convenience.
Kalindi College is considered good for Commerce and Arts whereas Maitreyi College is considered better for Science and Arts. So you can decide according to your field.

Every college has its advantages and disadvantages. It is recommended that you give preference to the course rather than the college. Because, in the end your interest and dedication towards the subject will give you a good career rather than the name and reputation of the college.
The answer to this question depends on your personal preferences and expectations from your college-to-be.
If you prioritize infrastructure, NIT Srinagar has one of the most beautiful campuses among all the NITs. On the other hand, NIT Puducherry has a better faculty than all your other options.
Placement-wise, NIT Raipur has the best record among these colleges. However, the infrastructure and faculty of NIT Raipur are below average. But it is a good college for its sports facilities and senior-junior connections. There aren't any cases of ragging on its campus. Also, it offers better connectivity than the other NITs you’ve mentioned.
As for the northeastern NITs that you have mentioned, most people don’t choose them. This is because of lesser connectivity and a lack of overall facilities at them. Their placements aren’t at par with the other NITs. Also, you’ll experience totally different weather and culture over there. So you might face difficulties in adjusting.
Now the choice will also depend upon the branch you are offered at NIT Raipur, NIT Srinagar, and NIT Puducherry. If say, you are offered Biotech or Biomed at NIT Raipur and Civil at NIT Srinagar, without a doubt, go for the second option. Biotech and Biomed at NIT Raipur aren’t good choices.
Honestly, studying in Anna University-affiliated colleges adds little or no value to your academic status. The curriculum, extracurricular activities, sports, or placements are mediocre and nothing extraordinary.
The campus life is also very average with normal classrooms, playgrounds and staff. You will not acquire any special skills here. At the time of the interview, you will have no special tag or talent to boast about.
Some tips to make the most out of your engineering years are
Rather than rote memorization, learn the concepts after proper understanding.
Participate in internships
Get involved in extracurricular activities and sports
Enhance your self-learning skills
All this advice is collected from people who suffered while getting a proper job.
Your parameters to judge a college are wrong. You cannot decide a college’s suitability and worth just through these points. You need to look up at what it is offering currently and where it will be standing in the future. Let’s divide this into 2 parts
Short-sighted approach: This includes analyzing the present opportunities offered by the college, its placement reports and the companies it attracts. Most students focus on this only which is not right. It sure is important to look up and compare the opportunities provided by the two colleges. But this cannot be the sole factor in deciding it.
Long-sighted approach: This involves researching and analyzing where the college stands in the future, maybe in 10-15 years. This is especially important in case of IIMs which carry the hierarchy of the older IIMs and have a credibility to climb the ladder. You check the potential of the college because it won’t be just a source to kick start your career but will remain attached to you for the rest of your life.
So what you need to do first is look up at and compare the opportunities offered by the 2 colleges and then see which college has the most potential.
Both NIT Kurukshetra and COEP are good colleges. As a student of COEP Pune, I can tell you about my college in detail-
Weaknesses-
Strengths-
brands like Amazon USA, Google, Facebook, Tesla Motors, etc.
Thus, COEP is a good college. According to me, after your graduation from either of these, you should go for a PG.
