IIT Roorkee, NIT Trichy, and NIT Warangal are well-established institutes in India. The scope of metallurgy is comparatively lower than that of CSE. IIT Roorkee mainly concentrates on textual learning and does not give the students exposure to practical learning. They are using the practice of mugging up the lessons without having a clear understanding of the topic. The placement is very poor here; the students from the metallurgy department usually end up in data analytics and coding.
So CSE at NIT Warangal and Trichy would be a better choice.
It is best to avoid all the three colleges if possible. If you have the chance then you should definitely ignore all the three colleges listed here and aim for a higher percentile in the next CAT.
Look at MBA as an investment. Not only it is expensive but also time-consuming. So if you are not getting job security or a well-paying job after spending lakhs of rupees on your degree, then the education may not be worth it. It will become just another degree in your CV.
So score well in CAT or get a good percentile in MAT (97 percentile or above) so that you can get some tier-I MBA colleges such as -
Apart from those above you could also try for these institutes-
Try to score high in your next CAT or MAT exam to secure admission in some of these colleges listed above and keep Alliance, AIMS, Jaipuria as your last resort.
Choose what interests you. If you are interested in Chemical Engineering, BITS Pilani is a great option. It offers decent academics and exposure. Core Chemical companies and oil companies recruit from the institute. Schlumberger, ONGC, Reliance, etc. are among the major recruiters for the branch. BITS Pilani placement highlights show the average CTC to be around INR 12 LPA for Chemical Engineering.
But if you are interested in Mechanical Engineering, you should choose PEC Chandigarh.
Hansraj College will be a better option for pursuing B.Com Hons. It has a better Commerce faculty. It is one of the top colleges on the DU North campus and offers great extracurricular. Reputed companies such as EY, Oyo, Deloitte, D.E. Shaw, etc. visit the campus placements. The average CTC received by the B.Com students is around INR 8-9 LPA.
CS and EC are very different branches. You need to decide which branch interests you more.
EC is about electronics and how the different electrical components communicate with one another. It involves a lot of Physics. It only involves a little programming. CS, on the other hand, is all about programming. It mainly uses logic and math.
If you are interested in programming, CSAI from IIIT Lucknow is the better choice. AI/ML is in huge demand in the industry as most things will be automated in the future. Placements and coding culture are top-notch at all these colleges. Students from IIIT Lucknow and IIIT Bangalore perform well in competitions like ACM ICPC.
All these colleges are good. You should make your choice based on your field of interest.
NIT Jamshedpur has an established brand name in the country. Students are tagged with “NITians”. This tag is beneficial for future training, internships, on or off-campus placements, and even in pursuing a management degree afterward.

As per the above perks, NIT Jamshedpur can be concluded better between both the listed institutes.
When choosing an engineering college, it is always somewhat better to have your options, but at the same time, stick to government-run institutes. That clarifies most of the issues here. NIT Silchar and NIT Tripura are both prominent institutes to choose from.
Few others, unlike them, are mostly on the higher lists of popularity because they have their name inculcated as NIT. However, you should never feel left out if in any case you do not get acknowledged on grounds of NIT. The other best possible option, just second to NIT, is KGEC.
Although, there is a short list of people who actually end up recommending any private institutes in lands of West Bengal.
If you anyhow need to get enrolled in any of the private institutions, then going to institutes that are deemed well known, such as SRM, KIIT, Manipal can be some other good options from your pocket.

If not any of them, then choose going to COMEDK or try enrolling in other renowned private colleges in Bangalore, some of which are RV College of Engineering, PES Institute of Technology, BMS College of Engineering and MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology.
There is another information yet to share which is, unlike BITS-Pilani, BIT-Mesra and MIT-Manipal,IEM is known to admit various students through management quota which is rather not the case for many other prestigious private engineering institutes.
But, as mentioned earlier, getting to choose from a handful of governmental institutes are better than the latter. However, options other than those few are opened as well.
Honestly, I would recommend anyone to go to a new but dynamic college rather than a reputed and old college. This is because the new colleges are at par with today’s advancements be it the curriculum or the facilities. The brand IBS was indeed popular Ron e but recently due to its increasing batch size and other shortcomings, it has lost its charm. So for me, it’s BML Munjal University. The points below will explain further why I recommend this school so strongly.
All these factors make BML Munjal University a far better choice than IBS Hyderabad.
It is true that a person’s caliber can in no way be judged from the Business School that they have graduated from. In practice, however, things work very differently.
The general assumption is that if a candidate has secured a top rank in one of the most challenging exams and studied one of the top curriculums in the country, then they are really good in their field.
IIM A, B, and C have been around for a very long time and its graduates have carved a niche for themselves in the corporate world. Most companies in India and many abroad have IIM A, B, and C graduates in top positions. The alumni spread the goodwill of these institutions in silicon valley and other parts of the world, leading to international repute. These institutions are ‘brands’. An IIM A, B, and C brand opens numerous opportunities for you.
Judging IIMs based on ROI solely is not wise. Most IIM graduates end up paying their loans in a period of 3 to 5 years. Also, keep in mind that salary does not remain constant, it keeps increasing each year. Even if you take a loan to fund your MBA, it will be worth it.
If you get the opportunity to study at IIM A, B, or C you should grab it at the earliest.
Both Sikkim Manipal and Manipal University Jaipur are very popular institutes and a lot of students across the country apply for admissions in these institutes. But among these two, choosing Manipal University Jaipur will be a better option especially if you're from North or Central India.
Categories | Manipal University Jaipur |
Course Fee | 3.58-11.86 lakh |
Highest CTC | 12 LPA |
Average CTC | 4 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, HP, etc. |
Hence, choosing Manipal University Jaipur will be a better option as the campus life offered is much better and there is no chaos or fights among the students like Sikkim Manipal.
