Nowadays, engineering aspirants give more importance to the brand and tag of the college rather than the academic ambiance they offer. Like sheep in a herd, they flock to colleagues that have higher rankings and give them a tag to boast about in the process, They forget that for education, the tag does not matter.
IIITs are the most neglected institutes in this process. IIITs like Jabalpur, Allahabad, Kancheepuram, and Gwalior have been set up by MHRD that focus primarily on studies in the IT sector, unlike NITs that cater to various branches of engineering. IIITs thus have a CS-oriented culture, curriculum, and opportunities. This may not be the case for NITs that have many branches.
Although NIT Raipur is older than IIIT Jabalpur, it's not at par with IIIT Jabalpur at least in terms of its Computer Science education. IIIT Jabalpur has much better placements for the CSE department than the IT branch of NIT Raipur. Moreover, IIIT Jabalpur has collaboration with Universities in Japan, unlike NIT Raipur.
Here is a brief comparative analysis of both institutes

Preparing for the CAT again is a hefty task and requires a lot of motivation. So I will suggest that you forgo your offer to join only under the following circumstances
If your situation does not involve any of the three cases then going for IIM Trichy is a wise decision. It’s a second-generation IIM and older than the newly established IIMs. Moreover, you will still get the IIM tag, and chances are that by the time you pass out from the institute, it has gained more reputation.
One of my friends had the same options a few years back and chose Mechanical at PEC. Here are the reasons why.
Here are the recent placement highlights of the institutes.

Osmania University is historical! OU is not only about placements or quality of education, but also about the value of that education you get during your study there.
You learn about the life, relations, and friends from different backgrounds and cultures. You'll have a broader perspective on social life, you will realize your good fortune on being here. Osmania University is probably one of the reasons for Telangana's achievements.
OU is in the centre of Hyderabad city, and beats many other private colleges located in far-off locations. There are many great places to hang out with friends, and the alumni are unparalleled. Don't miss a chance at experiencing the best!
My brother is currently pursuing the Construction Engineering Technician (T161) course from George Brown College. It is a two year course, and an extra year places it into an advanced diploma (T105).
George Brown offers plenty of job opportunities from a variety of construction companies across Canada. The college regularly holds a job fair in which prominent companies like Bird Construction, Aecon, EllisDon, PCL, etc. take part. A large number of alumni from our college work at one or the other of these reputed companies.
All the three colleges offer internships, but according to my brother, George Brown is a better option for the construction management program.
My friend did his B.Tech ECE from NSIT. According to him, NSIT ECE is a better choice than BIT Mesra CSE. Here are the reasons for his preference for NSIT ECE-
Thus, I would suggest you choose NSIT ECE over BIT Mesra CSE.
It crucially depends on where in life an individual stands at present. However, if you anyhow are on the side with basically lower work experience, then you can be expected to take another chance likewise, but if you are on the higher side, then you can definitely concentrate on converting either IMT Ghaziabad, or XIMB without further hesitation as such.
IMT Ghaziabad is known to accept students on the basis of their CAT, XAT or GMAT scores. Basically, other than that, taking a minimum chance would primarily be based on your capabilities, encouragement and intrinsic or extrinsic factors that are moreover expected to affect over the 12 months which are yet to pass on in the institute you are enrolled in.
However, on the very contrary, if you have obtained 98 percentile, then you also can try for XLRI. Besides, if you recently have felt that the CAT score you have acquired is mainly below your actual capability, then trying again will not affect your eligibility in the future.

It is suggested that you go for USMS, as it will provide you with better industrial exposure, from which you can learn the corporate working style, very early on in your career.
JIMS Greater Noida is a good option in terms of academics. It offers a decent infrastructure and environment for studies. The campus is wifi enabled. Classrooms are air-conditioned and have modern facilities. JIMS boasts of an experience faculty base. The professors have good command over their subjects and many years of experience in their respective fields.
There is not much difference when we talk about the course and the subjects but the environment is significantly different for both. Here are some things that you should know about the institutes.
Freedom- MCC offers a lot of freedom to its students in the way they dress and express themselves as compared to Loyola. Even for attendance, it is not as strict as Loyola. Loyola asks its students to pay for condonation and then sit for an exam.
Ragging- It is still very much prevalent at MCC and sometimes it crosses the healthy limit as well. On the other hand, ragging is very rare at Loyola.
Drug scene- MCC is infamous for its drug-related incidents. While enrolling their children, parents are quite worried about this. On the other hand, Loyola does not have such a problem.
Campus- Both the campuses are extremely beautiful with an amazing experience of studying in the college.
College life- When it comes to cultural and extracurricular activities, MCC is more active as compared to Loyola. They conduct a lot of fests and different events which offer its students a lot of opportunities.
Here is a brief overview of the institutes.
Category | Loyola | MCC |
Companies Visited | MRF, Infosys, TCS, etc. | Deloitte, TCS, Wipro, etc. |
Average CTC | 3.5 lakh | 2.31 lakh |
Highest CTC | 5.2 lakh | 3.5 lakh |
Therefore, it depends completely on what you want out of your college. If you want a good college life then you should opt for MCC. But if you want good academics then you should opt for Loyola. MCC has a diversified culture whereas Loyola has students mostly from Chennai.
