Ashoka University’s B.Sc Economics program offers a major in Economics and interdisciplinary majors in Economics and Finance, Economics & History, and in Politics, Philosophy and Economics(PPE). NMIMS offers Economics courses which include core subjects as well as subjects like Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, IT, etc.
Both the universities offer decent placement. Top recruiters at Ashoka University are 4 MC, Kenzie Banks, and other social sectors and the average package offered was around 6-7 LPA. In NMIMS 77% of the BSc Economics students got placement from 2016-19 batch with an average package of 4.6 LPA. Top recruiters in NMIMS are Ernst & Young, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, etc. Ashoka University also offers good internship facilities and summer exchange programs.
Compared to NMIMS, Ashoka University facilities are much better. Most of the faculties of Ashoka University are alumni of Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, etc. The course fees for Economics for the first year at NMIMS is Rs 2.75 lakhs while at Ashoka University the course fee is Rs 8.18 Lakhs. Karunya University is a better option than Amrita University. It makes you a better individual not only academically but holistically as well. The daily assembly sessions make you motivated and feel good. Here is why you should choose Karunya University over Amrita University.
Overall, Karunya will offer better exposure and opportunities.
I don’t think comparing both the colleges i.eAnna University College of Engineering and NIT Trichy is justified. This is because both are equally good in almost all the parameters. Both ranked among the top Engineering colleges in India. I have made a slight comparison based on the following factors to make a better choice:
Placements: NIT Trichy has an upper hand in placements. More core companies visit NITs in general than CEGs. This is because NIT is an established brand name.
Higher studies: CEG is slightly privileged in this aspect as it considers the TN state boards marks whereas NIT considers JEE performance. So the former is easier than the latter.
College life: College life at CEG is better because of its location. You can eat outside the hostel as many restaurants are available near the college. But NIT Trichy is far from the city so options for exploring are fewer.
Lastly, keep in mind that if you are choosing NIT then go for Trichy or Kurukshetra only. Don’t go for any other NIT leaving CEG.
As opposed to the general assumption, MBA at IIT Kanpur isn’t limited to the Operations domain only and also covers Marketing. In fact, its program is very much comparable to IMT G MBA. Here are some common points of comparison
Ratios: The student-company ratio as well as the faculty-student ratio is better at IIT Kanpur than at IMT G.
Infrastructure: Being a government institute, IITs have better infrastructure than a private institutes like IMT G
ROI: IIT Kanpur fees are around INR 2.80 Lakh whereas that of IMT G is Rs. 19.38 lakhs. The huge difference itself speaks of the ROI advantage at IIT Kanpur.
Batch size: The IIT Kanpur MBA batch size is around 78 while that of IMT Ghaziabad is 500 which is more than 5 times. This creates problems during placements.
Brand name: Although IMT Ghaziabad is well known for its MBA program, the IIT tag overshadows it owing to its global recognition.
Placements: The table below will give you a head-on comparison between the placement statistics
Particulars |
IMT Ghaziabad |

Considering the above points, many of my friends have chosen IIT Kanpur over IMT Ghaziabad for MBA and haven't regretted their decision to date.
Among these two, CVR is better for CSE. It has a dedicated faculty base. The institute has an active placement cell. The cell gets ample funding from the college management. It also has a better alumni network.
During CVR College of Engineering placements 2021, students received the highest CTC of INR 30.50 LPA. Oracle GBU, Amazon SDE, Adobe, were the major recruiters in the placement drive.
It depends on which IMT Ghaziabad course you got. If you got the core PGDM in IMT Ghaziabad then definitely go for it.
There are some parameters based on which you can make your choice.
Overall, The choice is yours, but according to me, IMT Ghaziabad is a better choice.
