West Bengal HS Exam Dates 2022 (Released)

Subjects which are not mentioned on the table will have the full marks of 50 and 80 or 70 as applicable. The WB Council decided to conduct class 12th exams by the end of December 2021 due to the emerging concerns of the new covid-19 variant, Omicron.

Chiranjib Bhattacharjee, Secretary of WBCHSE stated that all the concerned schools under the WBCHSE must mandatorily conduct the class 12th examination for 50 marks by December 31, 2021. However, the schools have the authority to finalize the examination schedule and time.

Earlier, the secretary had said that it is entirely the schools' responsibility to hold the test examinations and that the council has not provided any instructions regarding the exams.

However, the alarm of the new variant has shaken the world and if any restrictions are imposed, then it has to be kept in mind. Further, it should be noted that if there are any restrictions regarding the exams next year, then the marks of the test exam can be decisive to evaluate the final result, he said.

Students wrote the last written higher secondary examination in 2020, after which there has been no practice of written examination. However, the council's decision of holding the test examination for 50 marks will assist in keeping up with the practice of written examinations.
