Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) offers admission to Research (Ph.D.) /Integrated Ph.D. Program for December 2020 Session for interested aspirants. Ph. D. Students have vast options from Nanoelectronics, disaster management, HR, Finance, Cancer biology, structural engineering, and numerous languages.

VIT proposes Ph.D. research in two categories; full-time and external part-time. Internal full time offers include project staff working in VIT sponsored projects. External part-time offers teachers working in other colleges along with working with VIT on Ph.D.

VIT Ph.D. and Integrated Ph.D. Admission: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be passed in 10+2+4+2 or any equivalent for Ph.D. in Engineering
Candidates must be passed in10+2+3+2 or any equivalent for Ph.D. in Non-Engineering
Candidates must have degrees of 10+2+5 year Integrated M.Tech. the program, Integrated M.S Programme in Engg. & Integrated. M.Sc.(Biotech) in Non-Engg.

Ph.D. Research subject	Criteria for admission
Ph.D. in Engineering	Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 60% marks/CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale/Equivalent qualifications like M.Sc. (Engineering)/M.S. by Research/M.Tech by Research.
For Integrated Ph.D. in Engineering/Technology	Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology with a skill of advanced scientific and technological research with a minimum of 80% marks/CGPA of 8.0 on a 10 point scale.
For Ph. D in Sciences	Master’s degree in Science with 60% marks/CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale
For Ph. D in Languages	Master’s degree with 55% marks 6.0 CGPA.
For Ph. D in Management	Master in Business Administration/CA/ICWA with 60% marks/CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale.
For Ph.D. in Law	Master's Degree in law (LLM/ML) 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA.
For Ph. D in Fashion Technology	M.Tech./M.E./M.Fashion Tech/M.S.by Research/M.Tech by Research in Textile/Textile Engineering/Fiber Science/Textile Chemical Processing/Fashion/Apparel/Garment with 60% marks/CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale.
