Vishwakarma institutes Irelands technological university join hands to promote academic research

New Delhi: The Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest (TUS) in Ireland and the Vishwakarma Institutes in Pune have entered into a partnership to advance academic research and offer learning opportunities for students.

Both TUS and VIT Pune will collaborate on joint degree and summer school programmes, exchanges of students and academic staff, cooperative R&D efforts, the creation of courses, symposia, and academic programmes. Additionally, the two institutes will work together on research projects and the exchange of papers or academic or scientific materials.

Bharat Agarwal, Managing Trustee, Vishwakarma Institutes, and Donnacha McNamara, Vice President International, TUS, both signed the contract. It will also apply to the Pune-based Basilal Ramnath Agarwal Charitable Trust's educational institutions.

In order to achieve TUS's goals for globalisation, intra-institute alliances are a crucial component, according to McNamara. This agreement with the Vishwakarma Institutes is an intriguing starting point for future collaboration in a number of areas, including staff, student, and researcher mobility. We are excited to work together and grow with the Vishwakarma Institutes team to promote both institutes' internationalisation goals.

Agarwal commented on this collaboration by saying, "We have a responsibility to provide our students at VIIT with all kinds of experience and exposure. The partnership with TUS would make it possible for our students to enrol in internships and graduate programmes there, both of which would be advantageous to them.
