Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu Inaugurates Amenities Center at University of Hyderabad


The Vice President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu, on November 16, introduced an Amenities Center at the University of Hyderabad. During the event, he asked the youth to join forces of advancement and support nation-building activities to develop a New and Resurgent India. 

The Vice President encouraged the students of the University of Hyderabad to evade negativism and adopt a positive outlook in building New India where there would be no corruption, hunger, exploitation, and discrimination.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Telangana Home Minister Md. Mahmood Ali; Chancellor of the University Justice L Narasimha Reddy; Vice-Chancellor Podile Appa Rao; Dean of Students Welfare Dr. B Nagarjuna; and senior individuals from various schools, labor force, understudies, school staff, and various dignitaries.

The Vice President encouraged the students of the college to focus on accomplishing scholastic greatness. Mr. Naidu added that Individuals may have various belief systems, however, the principle philosophy ought to be “academic excellence”.

Considering the fact that the country is undergoing tough times, Mr. Naidu requested the young to be at the bleeding edge from making India stronger in all aspects. He advised the youthful personalities to come up with innovative solutions to tackle the problems from coronavirus to environmental change. 

Vice President Raises Concerns Over Degradation in Quality 

Communicating his concern over the degradation of qualities, he encouraged the young to follow India's deep-rooted civilizational ethos and culture. 

Vice President while launching the Amenities Center at UoH encouraged the youth to be the torchbearers in annihilating Illiteracy, battling infections, meeting difficulties in ranch areas, finishing social disasters like segregation in any structure, atrocities on women, and taking out corruption.

Communicating his concern of UoH Ranking 2020 along with Indian Higher Education Institutions rank in the top 200 in the world rankings, he asked the colleges in the nation to try harder and endeavor to be among the best. 

To accomplish better rankings, the Vice President requested the Higher Education Institutions to advance the innovative research, set up research clusters, and offer incentives to the best performing researchers.

Seeing that India can possibly turn into the center of information and development, he called upon institutions like the University of Hyderabad to assume cultivating the atmosphere of innovativeness, creativity, and the spirit of enterprise.

While encouraging the Universities to turn into the focuses of front line research, he encouraged them to build up close linkage with the business. He expressed happiness that the new education policy proposes a National Research Foundation to oversee research in the country.

Vice President Naidu expressed his happiness that the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 not only focuses on providing quality education but also seeks to develop character, inculcate scientific temper, promote creativity, the spirit of service, and equip students with the capabilities to meet 21st-century challenges. He said the NEP was comprehensive and holistic.
