University of Hyderabad prepares to upgrade its ICT infrastructure to conduct online classes


The University of Hyderabad has announced that it is now prepared to advance its ICT Infrastructure in order to begin classes through online mode

Online classes at the University of Hyderabad for integrated and UG students is set to commence from the 20th of August. The varsity had taken this decision in a meeting attended by the dean, department heads, as well as all faculty members. 

The objective of this meeting was to identify and prepare a structure and execution plan for the conduction of online classes and other learning activities. The faculties discussed how to go about implementing the plans for the upcoming academic session.

The plan of the UoH to upgrade its ICT infrastructure was discussed by the Vice-Chancellor in a press release. The VC stated that considering the costs of accessing and attending online classes can be an obstacle for students from deprived backgrounds. 

Acknowledging their difficulties, a monthly grant worth INR 1000 will be provided to such students. To facilitate access to the internet for them. This will prevent them from missing out on education due to a lack of resources.
